@theatermom2 That’s VERY good news! Alternates take priority over normal waitlist. Usually they’re in a “slot” as basically an understudy to a student they accepted that’s extremely similar from what I can tell. If they decline, you’re daughter gets the automatic accept before anyone else. Correct me if I’m wrong please

@choirsandstages, it sounded like they were using a track. The whole cast was there to do workshops with the students, though.

@craz4mtsmom we’re there too with a no from PP today. My D has a yes from her “safety” program, but that’s not a BFA MT. Point Park makes six rejections in a row. :-q still waiting for SEVEN decisions, including Hartt, Montclair and Wright State, which we’ve seen many people already have acceptances to. Pretty hard not to look at that as a negative at this point. I’m with you in hoping and hoping for that ONE YES!!
Still waiting on Elon, CMU and Webster. So discouraging - only one “yes” and one W/L the rest(6) are nos.
No from Point Park. So far only yes from Ohio Northern, Samford, and Rochester (in Michigan, BA though). I’m literally waiting on one more school, and that’s Viterbo. Auditioned at Chicago Unifieds as a walk in and still have yet to hear? Although almost everyone else seems to have heard from them. It’s a bit hard to see myself at any of my accepted schools, so I’ll have to tour them and hope that I fall in love with one. Hopefully Viterbo works out too. Best of luck to everyone!
We have a few options. A) Take classes here for a year and try to transfer but D is not sure she wants to go through this process again which right now is understandable B) She is academically accepted at a few schools she could start major undeclared and re-audition in the fall or change majors or C) She has 1 acceptance but we are all pretty unsure of the unheard of program ect…so more research is needed…all are viable options just not what she wanted. We still have 7 schools to hear from so we are not giving up just yet but seems that has been all no’s so its hard to expect something different. She is currently WL at her top choice so there is hope

Kids have been receiving updates to their Emerson portals in dribs and drabs this morning. Seems they are getting the decisions out there, but updating the portals slowly.
We have received several nos and 1 wait list too-crazy making. Waiting to hear from 7 more schools. Hopefully Point Park today.
She made callbacks for every single school that had callbacks-so she was in the running until the end. Their hopes get so high and then they get dashed.
My heart goes out to every parent and child out there. We all know how much hard work and sacrifice has been made in pursuit of these kids dreams!!! Hang in there everyone!
