^ I have never watched an episode of Friends. (oh well)

CCR is fantastic, CollegeHopefull. And you'll find my real name is more amusing to say out loud than "Rubber".
On that note, I wonder how many lurkers on this forum think of me as a grey block of rubber with a bindi between my eyes, of Collegehopefull as an overzealous pygmy who wears only ivy merchendise, of ChandlerBing as a life-size cardboard cut-out of the comedy show character and of Butternut as one of those hard, stale candies you got for free at check-in desks of unpopular airlines in your childhood and/ or a bottom-heavy man/woman whose insides are not vivid red but a pale, peachy ochre.

ChandlerBing: Asian pop? It's South-Asian pop I like, but I feel we're going to get along fantastically from now on.

Wait.....I can see the IndiaRubber / Chandler Bing one....

But, how do the descriptions of 'collegehopefull' and 'Butternut' come up?

When I hear 'collegehopefull', I think of a joke my friend made when I was typing my name "Spelling errors are a requirement if you want to have an internet handle".

When I hear "Butternut" I think of (in addition to Butternut's real name), Butternut squash soup. Which is friggin' delicious.

this thread is an epic one

to join in...butternut conjures up an image of butter popcorn :P
yummy :D

musicgal: Yeah hahaha!! That show is godly, I love it. And Chandler is possibly one of the funniest characters ever.
"Could you BE any more stupid?"

For me Butternut reminds me of the squash soup too, that stuff is awesome.

squash soup or popcorn either way
butternut=food-y memories

^ Yummy food (-ic, -ish, -like, -y...Is there even a way to decline this?) memories.

Collegehopefull is too much of an inside joke to give anyone much in the way of memory.

Unless you were in my home at 2 in the morning last year. That's another question altogether.

It has to be "food-y".

Also. I just got my hair cut. I look like something out of Led Zeppelin. Or Def Leppard.
Minus the macro-grin.

-.-

I wish my hair would look like Wally Cleaver's from the "Leave it to Beaver" show.

(I also secretly wish I could live in the idealized 1950s.
"Hey there, Bob! Can you catch the game with us tonight?"
"Aww, gee, fellas, I wish I could, but Pop said I couldn't go"
"That's too bad Bob - Say! Frank, could Bob come fishing with us tomorrow instead?"
"That'd be swell!")

Yeah when I watched Leave it to Beaver when I was 7 or so I used to wish I could live in the 1950s but then I stopped watching Leave it to Beaver and forgot all about it :P

Ooooooooooh my GOD. How many days more? I am so nervous!

^ relax
get popcorn/squash soup and watch leave it to beaver
and then come discuss it here
:D

sorry
that was very random :P

39 days, 12 hrs, 46 min, 5 sec

Excellent! It's no longer in the forties!

I have a med-school interview in 3 days, however, so I should probably concentrate on that. Oof.

Wait, med school? IndiaRubber, are you applying to Brown's PLME program or an undergrad program combining premed and medical school?

I applied to Brown's PLME, yes. But those aren't the interviews I was referring to. In addition to schools in the US, I also applied to places in my home-continent where you can start medical school immediately.

I so wish you could have med school interviews at this age in the US... that would be awesome. I was thinking about applying to PLME but I ended up not doing it. Maybe I should have.

^ Ideally you would start specializing right away too!

I can't believe we're so close to decisions!

^ I know, right? I'm already freaking out (it's official!) and I'm checking my snail mail every single day... this is definitely unhealthy lol.
I think my location should be changed to Crazy, too :P
I seriously hope we don't ALL get rejected from Yale!
