THE MOST EXCITING THREAD OF ALL TIME: Junior Year Courses

Does this course load look doable? And in which classes will I be spending the most time?

AP Chemistry
AP English Lit & Comp
AP Calc
AP US History
Honors Spanish 4
P.E.
Study Hall

Thanks!

Yawn…

Depends on how much work/study your teachers assign. My schedule for my junior year was
-Honors U.S. History
-AP World History
-AP Physics B
-Honors English III
-Honors Pre-Calculus
-AP Statistics
-AP Language and Composition
I did manage to ace all my courses, and your schedule does not look so different.
So I’d say it is doable, but you will likely be spending the most of your time in AP USH or AP Chem.

You should at least finish the majority of sophomore year before worrying about next year
How much studying depends on your school and we won’t be able to answer it here. At my school the studying from most to least would be: 1. chem 2. lit 3. apush 4. calc

AP Chemistry combined with AP English is gonna be brutal. Chem might be the hardest AP (depending on school) and you read a TON in AP English.

I think it’s different at each school. At my school AP English is about the same as honors. APUSH would probably be the hardest on your list. AP Chem also isn’t that killer if you’re a science person.

At my school that’s completely doable, especially with PE and a Study Hall! You’ll have to talk to current juniors and seniors to really get a good idea though. Here, Chem and English would take the most work, but it’ll be different everywhere.

Talk to current juniors and see what they say.

I heard a lot of horror stories about APUSH and AP Language on this website, but the courses at my school are actually pleasant and manageable.

AP US History
AP Language and Composition
AP Biology (Afraid of the new changes done to the test this year by the college board)
Pre-Calculus (Honors)
Wind Ensemble (The highest of the three levels offered in my school)
Symphonic Band (Voluntarily also in the second highest level offered in school)
Cisco (Technical Class)

Sorry to hijack the thread but since its so early in the year I don’t want to make one of my own. I’m not sure what to with my elective period. Ill be taking AP Calc AB, APUSH, AP English Lang, Physics Honors, and USB.

AP Stats (ill only take this if I want a GPA boost)
Peer Counseling (I love the teacher and I like all the mental tricks you learn)
Journalism (our journalism is a weekly broadcast, and if I can be an anchor I’d love it.)
TA for Geometry (this is my favorite teacher and her class is so fun, but it seems like it’d be awkward with a bunch of sophomores and freshmen.)

So ante opinions? Ill probably make a thread on this later in the year anyway…

AP Chemistry
AP Spanish
AP Environmental
Honors Junior Language Arts
Honors Precalc
Maybe AP Microecon next semester

Honestly it depends from school to school. I actually have almost the exact same schedule except AP environmental science instead of PE, and it isn’t bad at all. The thing is, the AP classes at my school aren’t too hard. It would be better to ask people at your school that have taken these classes rather than CC.
