My laptop - like 450. I guess. And my iPod touch - 227. I'm poor as anything.

the gucci bag my aunt gave me a couple years ago. It's not very attractive but I use it as a school bag because it's big and roomy. I think it cost around 300 bucks. Not too shabby. But I'm normally a frugal princess.

In relative terms, I have a watch that cost $1,500 but was given to me as a gift so I didn't have to blow any money on it. Aside from that, probably my truck and all of the upgrades that I have given to it.

i just want to make fun of the OP. so bad.

My violin. A loooot of money.

80% of AIG

Definitely my life.

Your life? Definitely not. It would cost almost nothing to have it taken away.

07 Chevy Cobalt. But Have much more in the bank.

Well it's expensive TO ME!

"Your life? Definitely not. It would cost almost nothing to have it taken away."

What does the cost of taking it away have to do with its value?

My $14,000 in student loans!

i've spent $200 total on clothes in the past two years...

and lmfao at the moron who spent 22k on a purse, i'm sure the person who you bought it from is laughing all the way to the bank on that one

oh, lol.

i really hate the "it's my money and i'll spend it the way i want" attitude. i mean i know not everyone shares my economic views but jfc, all of the things that could have been done, both for yourself and for others, for 22K and you bought a purse? gross, man. way gross.

the most expensive thing i own is probably my computer which tbh was only like $450. i have a tattoo that cost $480 so maybe that's actually the most expensive thing i own, haha

inb4 "my girlfriend/wife"

ego: wait, so you spent almost $500 to have somebody inflict pain on you and permanently imprint an image onto your flesh?!!! sorry, but you no longer have the right to make fun of the fancy purse, since at least the purse serves a functional purpose :p

the most expensive is probably my laptop, which was like $1200...i'm kind of frugal.

Well, I come from a very wealthy family from an affluent California suburb so I own a lot of expensive things. My dad has a lamborghini that he lets me drive to school. I also have a hybrid cat that has been bred with an ocelot and is hypoallergenic. Basically, I buy what I want.

I remember reading somewhere that plattsburgh is very well taken care of by her guardians.

Oh yes! A quick review of the posting history confirms it:

"Well I live alone in an apartment (though some people rack it up as living at home since my parents pay) and I'm as immature as they get."

Also:
"Well, I just spent $2,000 on clothes a couple days ago; so I suppose I don't spend it too wisely."

I'm trying to cut back and save, though."

And:
"Actually, excluding housing, it's around $34,000.
I just looked at my tuition bill."

About 6k/ month on rent ($72k/year) + 22k on a single purse + 2k on what seems to be a regular shopping experience +1 yr tuition at Fordham @$34k.

Thats already $130k in one year, and not counting the rest of living expenses.

Heck, thats quadruple the yearly pay what people who even HAVE an average job in the US make. I'm guessing plattsburgh's parents/guardians make more than $500k per year.

Plus:
"IT Analyst for a firm on Wall St.

I'm Computer Science and Computer Engineering
Fourth year junior (lost credits due to transferring)."

"Wow, I made more than $15/hour working at Nordstrom's in high school."

I'm guessing your family and network helped you out on those. . .

I know the type. I worked at Albertson's making $8/ hour as a cashier. I would usually be on the same shift as a cashier who was a 70 year old timer who lost his leg in 'Nam, and will probably end up dying on the check stand making $17.50/hour (which took probably a decade to work up to even under the better and older union contract, which no longer exists). That's while some do-nothing cocky spoiled brat loser who lives in a exclusive community and has a regional manager as a neighbor gets $15/hour to start.

What sort of business is your family involved in plattsburgh? no specifics are necessary, just something like "housing and commercial real estate development," or "investment banking."

You might as well just spill the beans. . .

I'm suprised a comp sci major and 4 chan regular would post all this stuff on the web.

ARG!

Your copious conspicuous consumption is making me angry and depressed!

I don't care how many illiterate adults I've taught to read (DAMN! Why could this volunteering opportunity have come up BEFORE I sent in my application!), knowing I'll probably never be able to blow 22k on a whim or live the high life seriously impacts my psyche!

The most expensive things I have (not own, mind you) are my kids while they were/are in college!!!! Plus all the $ it took to get them to that point in the first place.

I'm just curious, how can you guys who are spending tons of money that is your parent's even justify this? I mean I get ****ed at myself when I don't use a christmas present as much as I think I should be since they bought it for me and because of that I just told them to stop getting my presents.

Don't you feel guilty at all that you're essentially wasting their money on things that could be better spent?
