Pointless thread but read it anyway

I have two $100 bills. What should I do with it? I really want an mp3 player (I have never had a CD player in my life), but I'm thinking I should save it for a rainy day.

P.S.- I have never had more than $100 in my pocket, and when I did, it wasn't even my money. I found this money at the grocery store, and I'm thinking I should return it incase someone is in desperate need of it. Any opinions?

P.P.S.- My dog needs to go to the vet soon, and this $200 could really help. My parents had to pay for his last few appointments, and incase there are some of you that don't have pets, each visit costs nearly $100 each if not more.

$100 is a big chunk to lose. I think you should try returning it to the grocery store. And if you have the time, getting a job would be a good way to put some $$ in your pocket. =)

Do what I do: buy a pair of jeans. (You might need a few extra dollars after tax though).

=[ But then the grocery store guy would take it and no one is there to claim they lost it.

Unfortunately, I have no time for a job, but I do a lot of volunteer work. I was hoping someone would tell me, "buy yourself something nice, you deserve it" haha.. :( It's $200 by the way. I could use some new jeans, but I think it's really down to one of two options: 1) Give the money to the lost and found 2) Save it for my dog's next vet appointment

=] I think you should by yourself some Ben and Jerry's and couple movies for yourself to enjoy! ^_^ There, happy my friend? :P

SNEAKiiE:

Yeah, I'm afraid of that too. People change when money is involved, and I figure that if I end up keeping it, I'll use it for something selfless and maybe donate some to charity. I have never found this much money before, so I want to be careful. (The last time I found money was a $2 bill at the local YMCA bathroom). By the way, can anyone else relate? Have any stories or have been in this situation before? Just curious

^^ I found a 20 dollar bill in some magazine when I was little. =] Then I returned it to the cashier saying someone lost it. Then the Cashier told me I could get 2 things in the store for free. x]]] Which was sweet. =]]]] The two things were oreos and Teen People magazine. =D

What you should do: keep the money, if someone is stupid enough/careless enough to lose 2 100 dollar bills then chances are they are already well off so no need to return it to them. It cant be someones hard earned money because someone who works hard to get 100$ wont carry all of it around, especially in 100 dollar bills. They would carry only part of it around in 10's or 20's. So keep it, consider yourself a lucky man, and spend it how you want.

ps. once i found a 1 dollar bill in the sand in 1st grade, the teacher told me to keep it

Call the grocery store and ask the manager (not some greedy stock boy) if someone has filed a report that they've lost two $100 bills. If they say no, take the $200 and give it to a local charity.

The reminds me, in kindergarten, a bird pooped on my thumb, and when I told the teacher, she said it was good luck. It happened again in 1st grade but never again.

LMAO =] Bird pooped is goodluck. xP Hhhmmm never knew that.

I think I'll wait until tomorrow to call them and see what's up. Until then, I guess I can see what I can do with it.

hm I've never had a CD player either. Then I got a job and bought myself an iPod :) And I still volunteer too, and no one can claim my class schedule is easy. I'm sure you can squeeze some time in there.

Just keep the money and live with yourself!

keep it! buy some awesome clothes, or food!

=] Buy me a plane ticket! x]]]]] JP.

If I end up keeping it, I guess I can use it for my lazy dog.

$200 is a lot.

return it. It's not like the person was stupid to loose it, but c'mon!!!
Don't you think they'll be looking for it? Maybe an old lady lost it, or maybe a parent..going to buy groceries..than finding out his money is missing...
if someone does claim it; they'll be really thankful and will never forget you. That my friend; is worth more than jeans...or cd players. Trust me, if you do the right thing, you'll be recompensated later in life..

-.- Wouldn't they have proove it? >_<; Which will take a while.

Well; if he's clever enough and if the manager isn't a cheapskate..things will work out..

He should just go and ask if anybody has reported something lost.
