The bronx actually has some uber mansions in it. There's an area known as fieldston/riverdale that is just stunning. very suburban, tree lines streets with ancient beautiful mansions on them. Multi million dollar homes. Woody allen actually uses them a lot for movies because they all have high ceilings. also down by the river there are many similar multi million dollar homes. The right parts of the bronx are actually VERY nice. It would rank much higher, but the not-so nice parts bring down the numbers. My dad lives in the nice part.

Short Hills isn't a town, "technically speaking". It has its own zip code, but it's really a part of Millburn township...our Police Department and School system are by Millburn. We pay our taxes to Millburn...so on and so forth.

This will inform you a bit more about "the Bronx"

my zip code is definitely not on there.
None of the zip codes in my STATE are on there either.

O M G. According to forbes we are number 17, but on wikipedia it says, "Atherton is a town in San Mateo County, California, United States. The population was 7,194 at the 2000 census. Its ZIP code is the richest in the State of California, and most expensive in the U.S.([1])"

We have a vacation home in #8 Santa Monica though.

I don't know, I must say that Short Hills is pretty snazzy, and it's mall is like what fifth in the nation for most expensive, but oh well.

I live in #225.

And yeah, I think they ranked Atherton too low. It should be in the top ten at least.

Haha, my zip code isn't on there; the median home price is about $420,000

I've been spending a lot of time in #387 though.

79 MOCO REPRESENT

yes, i go to school with rich kids :)
but i'm not rich myself

interesting link, thanks
moco has 10 places on that list

The Mall at Short Hills

what a name...wow...you don't actually buy stuff there...you just window shop

True that, though I don't think I can afford to stand in the mall ;)

haha...even window shopping comes at a price

Just looked that up...what a mall. Its probably better than the one in downtown Boston (forgot the name).

"The two-story indoor complex caters to over ten million customers a year. Fountains, sculptures, and lounges with plasma televisions and leather couches are within the interior of the building. A different type of Porsche is featured in its main corridor every year."

-from wikipedia (the greatest site ever)

nice...that passage sounds kinda arrogant...oh well

Yeah, that Porsche is always right in front of my dad's store, it's pretty amazing to look at it. And then when they display the Rolls Royce it's like whoa!!!!

Kevin--it was #1 last year, just not this year. They only get these numbers from averaging the property sales each year, so maybe some "cheap" knock down sold this year, and one less really nice place sold, something like that.

Your dad owns a store at the Mall? Cool...which store?

Well he doesn't exactly own the store, I just say that since he's the manager of it, well anyway: Foot Locker.

yeah i figured he was a manager or something...anyways, that's cool...free shoes (or at least discounted hah)
