Do counselors mark "the most rigorous schedule taken" literally or is there a some leeway. I'm wondering because I want to go to the top schools and next year for junior year I could be taking 4 APS and 3 Honors max but I decided to take 3 APS and 3 Honors and one art instead. Will this change anything? Thanks for the help.

They compare you to your class. If you're taking more APs than others, but not the most you can possibly take you'll still get the "most rigorous" taken. That's how they do it in my school. If you are among the top, like you're taking 10 APs while someone else has taken 11, I think you'd still be considered "most." Taking something like 7-8 while someone took 11 would probably make you "more."

bump bump bump

It depends. If the counselors are class tag caring idiots then they will look for the AP/honors thing. I am sure if they are good they will see that you took an out of the box class and not penalize you.

To answer your question, yes there are counselor who do it based on sheer # but most do not. Your best bet is to ask your counselor.

Yah i should go ask my counselor
