Hey everyone
You all know how everyone is getting supplements - maybe not everyone but a few people.
What are their stats like?
My friend received one, and he had a 1600 something on the SAT but a good GPA/ solid activities. I'm not sure what that means. Does it mean that he has a chance?

Also, how many people who have a supplement actually get in?
It would be great to know...
since I did get a supplement but
I have no idea how it all works.

If you got a supplement it means you’re still in the running, the admin office wouldn’t bother sending you a supplement if they weren’t still considering you. I don’t think there are any specific statistics on it. I know a couple people who got in who received the supplement.

Okay but how many people get in?
Whats the percentage of people that get in?
When do we find out our decision?
Do we have a chance at UCLA?
…
I’m freaking out. I have bad dreams every night.
Please help me. I’ll help you back!

Newyorkmydreams, since you are out of state I believe (or even if you are not), you should be more concerned with paying for UCLA at the moment then getting accepted.

My son got a supplement, 1900SAT 4.1 GPA. He had some severe mental health issues that almost killed him, but has managed to get through it. Went to four high schools. His essay was unbelievable, but his EC’s…well, you guess!

the supplement can only help you. do well on it and you might get in, do bad and you might not. asking for stats is useless because none of it will apply since the extreme jump in applicants.

It seems like the supplement does not usually go to the well-rounded pretty good in all categories student, but students that are very appealing for some reason, but then have something like a low SAT or had bad grades for part of high school.

I wouldn’t say that. There seems to be a common trend of low SAT scores or poor academic performance among people who have gotten the supplements.

Okay.
If we did not get any supplements, and have low standardized scores does it mean we are rejected? ( I would guess so… but has anyone ever gotten in with low scores without any supplements?)

@newyorkmydreams: hey there! we seem to have applied a lot of common schools… I see you around a lot. Have you gotten a supplement to do from UCLA?

hey! yeah i did get a supplement. hbu?
and to answer your question, there is probably a chance but i think people think they have a chance when they get a supplement since it means your borderline. what are your thoughts.
