Nope, didn’t get it, at least not yet. Somehow the bills get here though! But wait, if I’m not an AU parent, how did I gain access to the Housing email I just quoted (which came from Chris Moody, Executive Director, Housing & Dining Programs), if not from my D, an AU student?? Do you really believe there is a band of imposters posting here, perhaps actually members of the AU administration attempting to undermine your efforts to expose the ugly truth? Yikes.

But it is a shame that 200 upperclassmen who want to live on campus will not be able to next year. I think this is a very common situation at colleges these days. Hopefully it will be resolved before my D is a junior, because I don’t think she’s want the hassle of living in an apartment.

AU parent here with a junior currently studying abroad for the year. I didn’t receive any such email either (although whatever correspondence AU has sent for my H and me has usually come via snail mail). I will definitely run this by my daughter, as she was going to look into housing for the next school year as soon as she’s back home for her between-semesters break; sounds like she may need to start doing some inquiring now.

Mini:
Odd isn’t it? That if I am not a parent and have no daughter that I received a message from Housing at AU through Campus life, from Gail Hanson, addressed to all parents about the changes going to take place in Housing. No one here received it?? Am I the only parent here then? (: Along with this message from Gail Hanson was a letter directly from Housing outlining the changes in detail. hmmmm?

Hon, you just supported my argument. You said if “I am not an AU parent how did I get access to my daughter’s email?'” Well If I am not a parent like you, Mini, Hello5, Boysx3 claim, how did I get an email or know about the changes before you all?? Rocket Science isn’t it??? (:

Just got it this afternoon. Does that, along with the paid tuition bill, now qualify me as being a genuine AU parent, and not a figment of cadred’s fevered imagination? Gee I hope so!

Does that make me an authentic AU parent? Perhaps the only one here, since no one had received this email, (until I brought it up). In addition, I received it before ALL of the others?? I was the first one to even alert the “authentic AU parents” about the housing changes. (: You’re welcome my friends.

Gee. I wonder where Hoverdad receive the e-mail/ letter then, from your odd link?? How would I even know about the changes unless I received the email which, because your kids don’t let you receive AU emails would never have known. hmmm? (:. Mine came from Gail Hanson via Housing and Dining. I don’t think they would just randomly post an odd link with a letter for parents to accidentally find, addressed to them personally, do you hon? Would that be a smart move? Hoverdad claimed to have received the email or did he?? Interesting. Denial is a strange affliction.

“Odd isn’t it? That if I am not a parent and have no daughter that I received a message from Housing at AU through Campus life, from Gail Hanson, addressed to all parents about the changes going to take place in Housing.”

Not odd in the least.

'red got it because she is a FORMER student, now at Cornell. And they haven’t cleaned up all the e-mail accounts yet.

Cadmiumred is certainly once persistent son of a *****. I’ll give it credit for that.
Other than that… what an entertaining and amusing and deranged individual.
An Andy Kaufman in it’s own mind.

If I am a former student, why would I receive the housing e-mail addressed to parents? hmmmm? (: I am a parent who cares about her child.

Got my housing email at 6:42 this evening. Should I lodge a formal complaint with AU for discriminating against parents who aren’t paying full tuition by sending them late emails?

It’s all a matter of the e-mail address they have on file.

At least those students who live off campus may not have to live near BUSHES.

If ‘red is a parent, she is one who has turned her kid into one freakin’ mess. And I pity her greatly. Luckily, she doesn’t exist. And the art department faculty agree with me.

Hey, I even sent her to Cairo at 16, and the other one, by herself, to Cambodia, Thailand, and India at 17, after, together, we dug out bodies following the tsunami. The American U. one also went to Oaxaca, and plans to be in Jordan (and maybe the West Bank) this summer.

Sadly, at most American colleges, statistically the least safe place for women happens to be the college itself. (And most of the criminals are their fellow students.) Fortunately, there are no risks for a non-existent person.
