What is this New SAT am I hearing about?
Is it dramatically different than the current one?

You might have to look in the SAT Prep sub-forum, not just this (combined) one.
It is a bit different than the old one- they incorporated science and history into the test to mimic the ACT. In the reading comprehension section there were questions that were based on previous answers, and within the writing section there were longer passages. It was more comprehensive overall, and in my opinion, it was easier to take than the old one (based off of PSAT experiences).
