Old SAT and New PSAT

I am a rising junior planning on taking the old SAT this coming autumn, and I’ve been taking practice tests during the summer. But I heard that the PSAT will be based on the new SAT format…? Can just studying for the old SAT be enough for the new PSAT or is there something new that I should be practicing? Thank you!

Unfortunately, you need to prep for both the new and old format. They are quite different particularly in the scoring. Unfortunately, there is not much material for the new SAT/PSAT for practice yet. For that particularly reason, I told other students to prep for ACT now and the new format SAT/PSAT later to be more efficient in situation like you. Note that the ACT has also changed slightly this year.

Thank you for responding! Okay, I will be sure to study up the new SAT/ PSAT as well, thank you.

how are you guys studying for the new psat?

I’ve just been looking at the College Board website since it has Kaplan’s PSAT study material thing, but other than that…

Khan Academy all the way

@misophoniax isn’t that the thing on the homepage of the collegeboard???
