"The Next President: Obiously We Know Who It Is"

i dont know why everyone is debating such an obious thing

^^

kumbayaaaaaaaaa let's stop hating each otherrrrrrr and respect everyone's opinions even if we don't agree :)

It's so ove that most black people choose Obama JUST because he's black :( thats dumb... if there was someone of my race trying to be president, i wouldn't vote for him just because he's of my race... :(

Uhh... where are you getting your statistics? How exactly do you "know" that most black people chose Obama because he's "black" (which, by the way, he isn't)? I think this quote is pretty interesting: "Demographic groups -- white, black or any other -- do not vote as monoliths."... Did most whites who voted Hillary do so just because she's white? Are blacks who vote for Hillary "traitors" to their race? Are whites who vote for Obama "traitors" to their race? Are young people who vote for McCain "traitors" to their age group?...

It only seems like Obama is going to win because most of his supporters come from the younger age groups.

I'm voting for McCain this fall. :D

arachnophobia12: I know MANY black people blindly voting for him... and even if you go to BET (black enternaiment television) you'll see a lot of things about why he should get the "black vote"... im not saying its right or wrong, just saying that its the way things are :(

well to me thier not, but to many people they are...

and how is Obama (i first typed osama lol) not black? if your gonna say he's African, well its the SAME thing! where do you think black people came from? Africa! i don't know why black people refuse to admit that.. but that's not the point :/

Also here late in the thread and I must admit I did not read through every post from the beginning. But some of the posts make me think of the picture I recently saw of Barack Hussein Obama, Hillary, Gov. Bill Richardson and Ruth Harkin all on a podium with an American Flag as the background, while the National Anthem was playing. 3 of the 4 on the podium had their right hand over their hearts, one had his/her hands folded. Can anyone guess who the 1 out of 4 might be?

Sheed,

No, actually that is not the picture I am referring to. And who is retarded here. Did I not say in my post there were 4 people in the picture, and having named all 4 it is obvious 2 of them are female. Please save the name calling.

obviously that is not the correct answer. obama can have fun carrying the south just as west Virginia's primary proved he could!

1- No president is going to change anything.
2- All we're doing is voting for the least evil
3- Anyone who spends millions upon millions of dollars to gain the most powerful position in the world is corrupt. NO QUESTION
4- What does change have to do with the national anthem?

^ i like #2 best

1- No president is going to change anything. Absolutely true, then why does everyone blame the president for the economy, unemployment, etc. etc.

2- All we're doing is voting for the least evil. That is subjective, but I also agree. That is not new to this election. But how do you define evil?

3- Anyone who spends millions upon millions of dollars to gain the most powerful position in the world is corrupt. NO QUESTION, okay if you say so

4- What does change have to do with the national anthem. Ref. your #2. In evaluating the "least evil" I truly believe love of country/patriotism has to come in to play. But many "Barry" supporters for whatever reason have chosen to ignore this particular issue.

Listen I'm not here to trash posters (as you obviously are Sheed). I just don't understand the bandwagon for someone who has no proven track record, has several questionable ties to people obviously not pro-American, and has a problem with saluting the flag and saying the Plege of Allegiance.

We are never going to solve our own internal problems if we portray to the rest of the world that we are anti-American. It's so simple, yet so many (especially young people) just don't get it.

well my first post was to prove that he does not have a problem saluting the flag...but yea,im going to stop posting here..

Political Radar: Obama Says Flag Flap a Dirty Trick

it was NOT during the Pledge of the Allegiance, it was during the Star Spangled Banner, a completely different song. the latter does not require a raised hand, and it certainly is not a social custom/norm.

alipse, no insult taken. As you have quoted me saying this picture was taken during the National Anthem, that is correct. The Star Spangled Banner is our National Anthem. And it is very customery to place ones right hand on yuour heart during its playing. The Pledge of Allegiance is not a song. I said he refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance.

Wow, what am I missing here?

^I never put my hand on my heart during either! so what? does it make me less patriotic then the next guy? And if so, who cares? Should i pick other candadites because they raise thier hands? Id rather have a "non-hand-raising" presedent that fixes this country then a raising one that does exactly the oppisite!

I think a republican is going to be in office if Obama wins. sad but true. It would have been better if hilary won at least we would have a democrat and someone who is actually an intellectual not Mccain.

*customary, first of all.

Secondly, no, that only applies to the Pledge. I've never seen anyone hold their hand below their heart during the Star Spangled Banner. The only real formality is to remove your hat.

he has never "refused" to say it - that is a baseless lie.
