Obama's pres!

I'm ridiculously happy.

Thank God for Palin.

Extraordinaire.

I mean, McCain's a fine man, but bad VP pick. I wonder if the results would have turned out differently if he picked a different VP candidate.

Obama's really president...wow.

lol i know, the election went by pretty fast to me.. o.o first african-american president.

it would have been a tight race if McCain had picked a different VP

cry more, obama would have won regardless of mccains vp pick. obama is just a much better man and politician.

Is he really a "better man"? Do we really know enough about him as an actual person to even make that assumption?
Even though I wouldn't have voted for him, I am mostly glad that he won - a HUUUUUGE accomplishment for him and for America, and I'm fairly confident he'll be able to handle things the right way [haha, maybe not the exact way that I would like to see them handled, but OK nevertheless.]

Yes We Can!

Obama: America's Greatest Failure.

Go Obama!!!

I feel kind of ambivalent....

cry more, obama would have won regardless of mccains vp pick. obama is just a much better man and politician.

That's just sad. Obviously you don't know anything about either candidate and you just go with the crowd.

President Obama. I could not be more happy or proud.

I'm really pro-Obama, so sorry if I sound biased, but McCain literally killed his own chances by picking Governor Palin as his VP. Also, the economic crisis killed his campaign...

I don't think Palin was the only difference. It looks right now like Obama will end up with 364 electoral votes and has an outside shot at 375. That's more than doubling McCain either way. This is a landslide victory.

^hmm but look at popular votes. Thing is in many states obama won by like a margin of 2-3 percents. So its like though he did win by a landslide in electorial college votes. this was actaully a very close election.

i was terrified screwups would happen with the electoral system..

I'm so happy. I can't stop smiling :D

He's up 5.3 million right now, with California only 42% reporting. It'll probably be at least 6 million when counting is done. Obama's going to end up with about 53%. A lot of candidates have got more than that, but very few since WWII. In today's political climate, this was a landslide.
