whats the nfl? national forensics league?

Pats fan here.

Though, I’m scared the Jets will win the division handily this year.

Shonn Greene is gonna beast it up, count on it
Seahawks just won the first preseason game tonight, under pete carroll

I use to like watching the NFL but after a couple of seasons it the same old same old.

I’m a Panthers fan. It was pretty sad to see Jake Delhomme throw so many interceptions this last year. Just to think, he led this team to arguably one of the most unexpected Super Bowl appearances ever.

I think the Panthers can really do well offensively; they’ve got the best running back duo in the game, Steve Smith is still an elite receiver, and I think Matt Moore can play well. It’s just the defense that will probably hurt them.

Any other Panthers fans here, by any chance?

no, im a matt moore fan though… that’s what being a fantasy football freak does to you. better not let jimmy clausen pickles start, i gave up forsett for moore. anyone into ffl?

ohmygod. the saints are just better. period. you say the atmosphere at college games is better. after katrina, there was this immense outpouring of goodwill towards the saints from the people of new orleans. it was something we could all rally behind and be proud of. every. single. person. in nola is a die hard saints fan.

It’s amazing how a team can become the heart and soul of a community, and help it recover like no other. plus it doesn’t hurt that they’re a pretty damn good team haha

Panthers fan!!

They actually are practicing about five minutes away from my house right now…

September 4th, I think Michigan will lose. Rich Rod is not the man I want there.

I DESPISE Tom Brady with a passion. A bloody passion.

And to whoever asked, because I can’t detect sarcasm, the NFL stands for the National Football League.

Yeah I have no doubts that the Jets are the clear favorite in a very powerful AFC East this year. Not having Darrelle Revis would be a big, big hit for them though.

^MIT, aren’t you from Ohio and thus isn’t it a sin for you to root for Michigan?

I am not from Ohio. At all. I have family that lives in Ohio, but I myself am not from any specific state in the US. Except probably VA.

No Wahoowa?

I’ll give you a wahoowa, go Hoos!

What are you guys thinking about Reevis? I’m not a Jets fan, but it’s kind of ****ing me off. He’s the best player on what is arguably the best team in the league. He should be on his way to Cortland to do work and win a SB.

oh god i just remembered that the pats beat the saints preseason. i’m never gonna live this down.

If you live in VA and aren’t affiliated to any of the schools, your much better off rooting for Tech than UVa… football hasn’t been going so well around here lately haha

^^It’s preseason so no worries. Brees only threw 13 passes so it’s not like the Pats are automatically better b/c they won this game. Plus the real losers of this game are the Patriots since Brady will probably be out a few games w/ my luck with this finger injury or at the very least have his play hindered like an injury did all last year and during SBXLII iirc.

And no, Revis has a right to be holding out. He’s making chump change this year when he should be making what Nnamdi Asomugha is making (~$16.5m per year on average). Sure, if you are a Jets fan you can be ****ed but hey, if I were the most feared CB, I’d want more money than the currently highest-paid CB and I’d want it guaranteed. You don’t get a lot of years in the league, and your career can end in a flash, so I understand why he is holding out.

Anyway the League is uncapped this year, so it’s up to the Jets owner to stop being so frugal and pay the man.

Nobody takes pre-season seriously unless they don’t know football.

^ Redskins fans do. All of them on my fb were like yeah we smashed the bills.

College wise in VA, I love Vtech. But they are second to my all time favorite school, Michigan.

The Bills are terrible. They will be a train wreck this season.

I’m a Jets fan. While I do believe we have everything we need to win a SB, I’m also fairly confident they will choke and embarrass me at some point. As terrible as the Bills are, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Jets find a way to lose to them. However, that being said I do think they’re solid contenders for the AFC East. All bets are off once we head into the post-season, but I’m hopeful. That’s more than I’ve been able to say in the past. Last year I was praying for a winning record.

Also MIThopeful16, I loathe Tom Brady.
