Also, they’re looking for your essay to flow and for you to get straight to the point while describing parts of it. If you talk about nonsense and useless stuff, they will dock you because they feel as though you’re trying to avoid the topic since you don’t know what your talking about. What i also found out is that they like people to experiment with the essays and maybe argue against or add humor to the essay. They like essays that are different and not about the same boring thing over and over again.

I thought Harriet Tubman and Underground Railroad was in the time period of the DBQ?

No, harriet tubman and underground railroad was in the 50’s… the 1830’s was the BEGINNING of the abolitionist movement so if you talked about william lloyd garrison and all of them its considered wrong. They were all post 1830 so you must state that they are post 1830 if you include them in your essay.

the underground railroad was. Harriet Tubman wasn’t.

Our proctor gave us 4 minutes less on the Multiple Choice and 6 minutes less on the Writing portion.

I finished the mc w/ 15 minutes to spare and the essays w/ 20…still, i was just too paranoid about going back and changing stuff so i didnt bother

I didn’t write a conclusion paragraph to my DBQ. Am i gonna get points deducted for not adding one in??

Not majorly, but it always helps to tie it all together.

I have a question regarding outside information. If you said that “______ paved the way for (something past the period set by the DBQ)” is that wrong? Because I acknowledged that it was in the future…

ugh, i accidentally talked about the great migration for fre #5 i hope that doesn’t make too big of an impact on my grade =/

due to lack of time management, i didn’t realize i had about 2 min. left when i was on about #60 for the MC, and i had to rush through and just bubble what i knew really quickly, so i left about 12 blank

can someone post the DBQ & FRQ questions?

not until sunday morning, technically…

Pano if you acknowledge that it was in the future or past it’s ok.
The Great Migration?? Isn’t that the migration of Puritans… about 3 centuries off there.

wait, really?

^^ if your test was delayed you guys will prob. have to take different version/test.

whoever said the great migration for #5 it’s right
the term is used to refer to puritans in 1630s, blacks in WWI, and blacks in WWII

i know… i just want to know if i knew today’s writing prompts.

i would be pretty upset if i did and didnt get to take it >.<

MC was really easy! i think i might’ve gotten 5 wrong?

Picked essay’s 2 and 5,

I felt pretty strong about DBQ and essay 2, not so much about 5 :]

pretty sure I got a 5

i did 2 and 5, multiple choice was harder than expected…i usually get around the 70s but idk how i did on this one

Oh didn’t know there were other great migrations. The one regarding question #5 was known as the second great migration i guess.
