dillbilly123: I’m sure it is fine as long as at the top of your page you circled the number corresponding to the essay you were writing.

all right. and yeah i cirlced the corresponding number at the top.

thanks heretosucceed92!

Equilibrium, im not especially worried about the length because my handwriting is smaller than usual.

And, our teacher showed us the essays of some students who got 5s. One of the students FRQ was only 1 page long(meaning it was only on ONE side of a page!)

His essay succinctly delivered an arguement, so i think thats why he scored so high!

Do graders grade on writing style or grammar? Or is it just strictly on the information you provide in your essay?

^^^well its not an englush essay so its basically the info…but having a little stylenever hurst

Yeah, I’m getting a one.

Knew that during the test, too. Therefore WHY SO SERIOUS? was pretty much the prevalent thing throughout the writing section.

^ I thought that, too. Then I got into the test and realized I knew a lot more than I thought.

hahaha of all things for me to mix up… the constitution and the declaration of independence? i cant believe it haha

I loved that test. Granted, I’m a huge US History nerd, but I enjoyed writing those essays, thought the MC was pretty easy though there were more questions about more recent events than I expected.

How much will they take off for only using five documents…assuming I did present a good argument using them?

A lot of vocab words it tested on were stuff that never came up in my text book or class lectures, so a lot of my classmates found MC to be harder. I ended up guessing on like 20 or so, and left 1 blank, so I’m hoping for a total of like 64 right and maybe 15 wrong. DBQ and first FRQ was probably a 7-8, while my second FRQ couldn’t have been more than 3-4. Everybody knows the events of 2 like the back of their hand, but 5 I had absolutely NO outside info on other than like 1 thing for each body paragraph that I kind of repeated over and over, lol. I’m hoping for a 5 and expecting at least a 4, but then again I felt the same about Euro and ended up with a 3 :(

My DBQ was 4 pgs

that being said it was the most disorganized thing you could ever see. my thesis was good, i had ALL the info possible in there, cited all but 1 document, but it was ridiculously disorganized. how bad will that screw me over?

thanks

If your dbq is disorganized it does hurt your score a lot from what i know. If they have to pause or stop at any point because they’re confused or the info is wrong, they consider it a major error and won’t give you higher than a 5.

I thought the overall exam was okay.

The MC were okay. I expected the MC section to include more aspects of history. I mean, isn’t the point of the AP test to prove how knowledgable we are about US history?

The DBQ was VERY interesting. I understood the topic; however, the timeframe they gave us to write about was weird. I’m pretty sure the people who thought they did really well on that section included information after the given timeframe.

I chose FRQs 2 & 5. 2 was easy, and 5 was okay; I didn’t have a lot of information for 5.

This was my first ever AP exam. fun. I chose 2 & 5 also. Seems like no one chose 3. I killed Essay 2. essay 5 was a struggle to incorporate specifics. I did use a nice literary example, and 1-2 specific names, other than that i kinda struggled.

DBQ was a difficult 2 questions, i had a hard time combining them into one thesis. I was unable to pull a lot of outside specifics because of the time period, but i got a lot of outside concepts. Are concepts looked down on compared to specifics? ie. Mercantilism rather than Sam Adams

so, are there any Form B’ers around here?

I loved the question about a certain treaty in the Americas that had to do with a certain president people tell you won’t be on the test because he is too recent. :D

anyone know what I’m hinting at?

Haha. I know what you’re hinting at Softiful! I loved that question too, though it caught me off guard. :)

i chose 2 and 3… im surprised no one chose 3…

what i did though, was i incorproated the major ideal during the gilded age and how labor unions affected them and i just included two of the unions that we had to choose.

my friend was like “what! why didnt u choose 5?” n i was like “cuz i dont know shyt about the mexican americans during WWII as well as the jewish and the africans, only the japanese.”

i just HOPE to God that i get atleast 50 right on the M.C. imo, i thought it was somewhat easy but i ran out of time on problem 65 and i think i skipped a few…

on the DBQ however, i incorporated all 10 docs and i KNOW for a fact that my FR’s were ATLEAST an 8 if not a 9…

is it rly true that if you score under 50, ur essays are obsolete??

i been stressing heavily about this…

I was in AcDec this year, and the topic was Latin America. So that’s why I knew it, because that question was basically on every social science test. XD
