wait, do you guys think that the curve will be harder this year? I heard all the people in my class, except me and another kid, say the MC was impossible. I thought it was preety good, i mean a few were hard, but most where preety easy.

You don’t have to use all of them. You can omit one or two.

I think I only used 6 or 7. Is that bad?

6-7/9 docs is FINE.

I accidentally put two figures out of the time period in my DBQ when i was discussing the 4th part of the prompt (there were 4 parts of the essay task). The rest of my essay was fine, and all i want is a 6 (or maybe a 7). But could i get at least a 6 / possibly a 7?

u don’t have to use all of the docs… the sample one from last year about vietnam that scored an 8 only used four docs out of like ten… figures… it’s about incorporating what you know as well

Joker23: I didn’t think the MC was too difficult either. Most of my class felt the same way.

APUSH 2009 was cancelled in my school - I am in Alameda county CA. Any other schools where it was cancelled? No information on the new date. wonder what happened …

I don’t know if this has already been addressed because I didn’t take the time to read all 25 pages, but early in the thread people were worrying about not explicitly citing the document. My incredible APUSH teacher (2/3 kids get a five from his class) told us NOT to do that and that all you need is the author/title. Hope this helps!

3 and 5 here, too.

Guys, I rewrote essay number 2. Will they grade the correct one? I crossed out the original and wrote a note saying that it was after essay number 5.

Also, my DBQ was 3 pages long (not front and back!) and my FRQS were one page long(front and back). IS that a good length?

I also write pretty small.

Lol I know they are going to crush me hardcore for not bringing in too much or any outside at all on DBQ.

Esplin… don’t worry… they’ll grade the right one.

Your one-page long FRQ’s may be worrysome. Not because they’ll disregard it simply bc it’s short, but because it’s unlikely that you addressed all the key points in simply a page. However, if you feel you did a good job, and presented a strong argument backed with strong evidence, you should be fine

Well i couldnt sleep yesterday, thinking about the AP test :(. Hope its not like this until the third week of June, lol.

I’m very confident about the test. I got the MC down but I started to rush a little bit because I was unaware of the time (huge room with one clock all the way in the front, and I was in the back). The DBQ was easy in terms of information, but I had organization problems. I didn’t know how to correctly state my thesis but my facts were good. The FRQs I know I did very well on. I’m hoping for a 5 but I don’t want to get over confident.

Anyone else experience trouble with the DBQ?

Edit: After a little thinking, I just realized some of the info in my DBQ was off. I only wrote a few sentences on it though. Hopefully it won’t screw me over…

lol yeah Joker. I have College Board on speed dial. Can’t wait until the 27th…

Joker23: I didn’t think scores came out until late July…at least that’s when I got mine last year. Is there some way we could get them early?

You can call the Collegeboard sometime in early July to get your score, but for a fee. Check your AP Student Pack for more information.

Thanks percussionboy! I had no idea you could do that…is there a fee for each score you want to know or a flat rate to know all of your scores?

how bad is it if i started my first frq on the back of my dbq?!?! and i think i may have possibly starte my second frq on the back of my first!

8 dollars to get all your scores for the year. I never ordered them early in 9th and 10th grade, but I have 7 this year and I don’t think I can manage to wait that long lol.
