The Official Bio Nov 4 Thread

Bumping!:)

Does anyone know the general curve for this test?

I skipped around 4 problems and know I got several wrong.

I was aiming for anything above a 700

i have some qs. a) the one about the highest light that humans can see?
b) the paramecium moving toward the food source deomnstrated...?
c)ALL THE ANSWERS TO THE TREE EXPERIMENT whoops caps
d) all the answers to the enzyme/ substrate/production of products experiment....

I'm willing to discuss others with ppl i feel the others were fine but yeah. i think im a sucker for the experimeent tstuff

a. the highest energy? purple
b. taxis
c. that was a gay one
d. the first chemical thing accelerates, the oter one inhibits

a) violet
b) taxis
c) the pine is unaffected by the removal of the oak
d) graph increases at 1st then remains constant, enzyme + chemical 1, chemical 2 was inhibitor

The Paramecium moved towards the word that I had never heard of. The other options were clearly not the right answer. As for the word that was the right answer, I don't remember

Humans can see up to the violet.

Sulfur Dioxide produces acid rain.

The wet membranes, I don't think, was the right answer. There was something about a dedicated organ that I felt was the better answer. (Think alveoli)

i second bishounen

when can we check our scores online ne ways

i dk bout organs... some organisms breathe through the skin (i think)

aymroueh : the experiment was miller and urey's

ok, someone told me they missed 10 (+ the minus 2) so 12. and got a 760. does that sound right

^ someone lied to you.

what about the crosstest one?

I thought they all were except A_xaa.

"i dk bout organs... some organisms breathe through the skin (i think)"
then the skin would be the dedicated organ, i think

"what about the crosstest one?

I thought they all were except A_xaa."

it was the A_ x aa because when you test across, you test a unknown dominant against homo recessives to see if there are any recessives or all dominant to see if the original testing subject is homo or hetero

im pretty sure the limiting butrient= PO....... frikkin A i think i have to retake this again =(

wut about that larva question wat happens when pupae doesnt get the hormone to become an adult, will the development stop?

Um. no test cross is AaxAa

please if someone remembers ne of the tree qs... let me think... well. i can't remember too well but i know i answered them.... IF NE ONE KNOWS FOR CERTAIN THEY GOT THEM RIGHT, please say teh answers so us ppl can read tehm and see if we got them..... that'd be so great!!!!!

For the trees I remember something about competition being the reason they were smaller in table 1, a mutation in the white oak to make it red (not sure about this one), and the young white pines not being affected. I think theres 1 or 2 more but I forget....

does anyone know for sure the answer to the test cross question? it's driving me crazy.

er, S2530S2, i dont know what you've been smoking, but its definitely not Aa Aa since it wouldn't be a test of anything, you already know both genotypes
