Haha, back to loving Bryn Mawr.

rigor-col, my D transfered to Bryn Mawr last year. If I remember correctly, she didn't hear from BM till late May.
Why don't you call Admissions and ask when the transfer decisions go out?
Don't worry about your virtual Bryn Mawr account disappearing, my D's did too and she worried that it meant she wasn't accepted but it had nothing to do with it.

Brillar, congrats on the financial aid. I'm sure you'll love BM.

Congratulations, Brillar! Wonderful news for you!

is it normal for the financial aid to be estimated

I don't think so- it says on the bottom that students with "estimated" aid will get finalized results upon their completion of all items on the to-do list. So I guess you still have something to turn in?

ok yeah - i just turned in some verification worksheet and she said i have everything now. thanks!

thank you everyone for the help. I could not write for days because my computer was not working so.. I also got an email from financial aid office saying that I've something to turn in. I will do it by tomorrow coz I'm an international student and have so many processes to do for sending in a document. Hopefully, it won't be too late!

yea, i talked to the financial aid people. i asked how they evaluated and why my family did not qualify for the bmc grant. they side-stepped my quesiton by saying that they evaluated packages differently from other schools because they have different policies which they would not disclose. :T im glad the financial aid thing worked out for you though brillar! congrats to all of you who made the decision to go to bryn mawr. i think its THE best decision ever xD

Chudiane- where are you thinking about going now?

The financial aid office is a little iffy... Bler.

Have anyone of you heard from the adcom about the decision and financial aid?

rigor- transfers wont find out until at least may. i applied as a transfer too and i have been in contact with the admissions committee and they said they are reviewing my file right now. i wouldnt start worrying yet. i think it says that decisions go out around mid-may on their website. hope that helps!
good luck!

congrats to all who got in would you guys post stats please.
and who got an e-mail from Bryn Mawr saying that they migh not except people from the waitlist?

Hmm... I read this somewhere... maybe on the accepted students page from last year... People were posting stats and someone mentioned that it didn't seem to fit in with the "spirit of BMC." You know, the whole not discussing grades thing and all of that. At the time I didn't agree with what was said because I figured it was helping people, but I've looked back at this thread and I realized that no one has posted stats.

And even though I've posted them before for other schools (so if you were curious, you could check my posting history), but I don't want to be the first person to post stats here. And now that I know I'm going to BMC, I'm going to keep with the whole spirit of the school/this thread by not posting my publically. I don't know, the whole posting your decision and then your stats thing (filling out one of those forms) is a little tacky anyway, isn't it? And from what I've seen, as long as you're in a general ballpark, seeing more stats isn't incredibly helpful. People with lower stats get accepted, people with higher stats are rejected... all that jazz.

(Note: Pink, I'll PM them to you and I'll also be willing to answer questions from future BMC applicants... I'll probably stick around on CC after going to college- college admissions are interesting.)

@pinklimited2
yeah, I did too. not too encouraging, but well...

Maybe they mean "might not accept" in the way that all colleges might not accept people from waitlists... I don't know... Good luck guys!

I second Brillar's proposal not to specify stats. Hope the waitlist works out...

rigor-col, I also had a financial aid "to do list" for Bryn Mawr. It made me feel like I needed to go to Publix or something lol. Hopefully transfer decisions will be mailed sooon. This wait is getting old. Good luck! :)

Yesterday I emailed Peaches Valdez (the woman in charge of transfers) and she told me that decisions would be mailed out "within the next two weeks".
So nervous!!!

aw I've spoken to Peaches before! Thanks for the update :)

oh really? my ....I can't hold my nerves, I emailed financial aid office if my application is complete, I haven't yet heard from them. It's been a week already that they were asking for completing the application. I don't know.
