Essay: 9-10/10 <- Spent months on these. I personally feel like the essays are very important and I highly recommend that anyone applying to Cal/UCLA spends a lot of time making the essay excellent.
Fun fact: Dissed Karl Rove in my optional essay.</p>

<p>Other: Private -> CCC -> Berkeley. I transferred from Loyola Marymount University (1 year) to Santa Monica College (1 year) to UC Berkeley. I was considered a CCC transfer because I took over 30 units at CCC. If anyone wants to do the same then FEEL FREE TO ASK ME QUESTIONS VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE! <p>How do these people get into UC Berkley/LA and get rejected from CSU’s?</p>

<p>CSU’s have really faced unsurmounted financial difficulties. CSULB receives over 69k applications for roughly 4k spots… CSU’s do not receive as much funding from research therefore the CSU’s are a little more cautious… Also the applicant may have not followed the course breadth for “CSU” so all their prereqs may have not been completed…</p>
