**The Official Harvard Admissions Decisions Discussion** Start posting after 5

^ gadad: I don’t know if you remember, but you commented on my chance thread (months ago) and said that i’m a lot similar to your D2. Turns out, as far as admission outcomes go, you’re quite right :P

I’ll be camping out at my front door in the next couple of days waiting for my mails and correspondence from harvard fingers crossed.

so does anybody know how many ppl were admited to harvard this year?2000 more or less?

ACCEPTED  I am still in shock :)

just waiting on fin. aid now… hope it is good ;-)

confused_vnese - Congratulations! “I got HYPCD (all the ones i applied).” ?!?!?! No, I’d say you’re completely unique! Enjoy your decision (but if you decline Yale, be sure to get the free t-shirt first!).

HYPC here too. Aghhh I can’t believe it!

gadad: Thank you so much! You’re always so nice. People told me that chance threads on CC will be filled with negative, mood-dampening comments but I didn’t get any of that from you. Helped me a lot. Yes i did get the shirt! I got in during the EA round and signing up for the shirt was the first thing i did! :)

I got my FA package today and its A-MAZING! It’s about $1,100 more than Yale, and is definitely THE best offer i can possibly get. I’m so grateful!

I really envy you guys accepted by Haravard!!
Entering Haravard is equal to obtaing free pass of own life.
If I get good score at SAT I will apply next year.

No. Even after Harvard you’ve still got to keep working, achieving, and succeeding. There is no free pass in life. College, any college including Harvard, is merely one step in a long journey.

accepted

but going to yale XP

Hey Congrads. My best friend last year also got accepted to Harvard and Yale. She picked Yale and said it was the smartest thing she ever did. She said the classes at Yale are more personable and that the students act less “entitled” and “stuck-up” then at Harvard. Good luck in deciding which one to go too.

Good luck in deciding which one to go too but I think you should really reconsider Yale.

ACCEPTED! I am seriously shocked. Unbelievable!
Although I found out almost a week ago, it is hard to digest it.

Hey, would anyone like to become my friend on facebook! Harvard Class of 2013.
It be nice to start meeting each other.
(although i’m sure many of us already started)

Congratulations to everyone else!

I AM GOING TO EFFFIN HARVARD!!!
sorry, had to let that out… lol

I got accepted, i had a 3.6 gpa, 92nd in my class, and involved in my school office fan club, chorus, and ping pong club. I’m white and middle class.

I don’t know why people feel the need to lie about their decisions. Plenty of “accepted” students here have told me they really got rejected. Not gonna name names but that’s pretty pathetic.

Hey accepted guys, how genious are you?? Tell me the tips of your story;)

Still waiting on the wait list.
If the call comes, how much was the deposit to accept the spot?

Thanks for your help.

0 dollars and 0 cents…no deposit.

I got in off the wait list, but they’re requiring that I take a gap year (as in, I’d attend Harvard as a member of the class of 2014).

Has this happened to anyone else? I’ve always been super against taking a gap year (I’m a school junkie - can’t get enough of it).

At the moment I’m enrolled at Stanford, and I don’t know what to do! :-(

Wow, cakeys123, if you got into Stanford, then I’d say go for it. If you don’t think you can be productive in a gap year, then don’t take one.
