The Official M10 2019 Freakout Thread

Maybe the heads of Andover/Exeter hated their respective schools, so they each made the ultimate rebel move and joined the enemy lol

Also @ImWaisian ?

has anyone heard about milton communicating to waitlisted students? thank you

I just realized that we have out-communicated<<?? last years Freakout thread by 47 pages!!

@ImWaisian We are a very stressed bunch lol

Yup.

How has break been so far for you guys?

You have break right now?? I’m so busy with school :frowning:

@sparkatzz Just casually finished a 360 question study-guide for math finals :astonished:

I attend a public school and we’re currently on spring break right now.

@YoungThriver I attend pubs too but I had spring break 2 weeks ago

Same with me, @ImWaisian

Lol ? “Pubs”. I need to start using that.

I’m curious about something–what if, by my junior year, I realize I really don’t want to be in high school for another year (since I’d have already served my sentence of 4 years). Could I apply to college then? Obviously I don’t think that’ll happen because I love Choate and would spend 10 years there but…

You’ll need a high school diploma to do so and by then, you probably haven’t met Choate’s requirements in order to acquire one. You’ll need to finish off your senior year at Choate to get that diploma, which would be necessary to enroll into most U.S college.

That’s just what I think but let’s just wait for the adults to say something.

@YoungThriver That’s what I figured. I wouldn’t graduate early–why would I go to boarding school if I would–but I’m honestly curious.

@YoungThriver you are lucky. I also attend “pubs” but our spring break was way back in March. I just finished two major projects and am ready for the 3 day weekend, even though it’s just Tuesday, lol!

@CavsFan2003 that’s a really good question, I’d be interested in the answer if you find out. I’m sure you are going to love Choate and never want to leave, but you always have to consider all options.

@CavsFan2003 You can if you have earned all the credits. Check with @SculptorDad. His DD applied early out of BS and was admitted to college, although she later changed her mind and decided to stay and finish BS.

You can. Whether you should is another question, and one that you should really wait a couple of years to ask. Short answer - it’s beyond exceptionally rare that a student should apply to college before senior year.

@CavsFan2003 I do know a person at a BS that applied to college this year as a junior (but only applied to one since he was a junior?) and was accepted. He’s so excited to go to college since he pretty much exhausted the school’s resources in the field he’s interested in.
