The Official RANTING Thead.

Did you even look at the picture?

YES! Omgosh that is huge! Why did you show me that?:/

Move to a desert and you will be fine. =]

o.O

Lol, yes, then I will just have to worry about snakes…I think I’m ok in California where there isn’t anything like that haha

UGH.

I’m having second thoughts about my AP Macroeconomics class. At my school, it’s basically a senior class, so I’m the only junior in it. And it’s kicking my butt.

I know Econ is a course many laugh off, but when you have teachers like mine who have confusingly worded questions, one small mistake costs you dearly on tests. On one of my previous quizzes, the difference between “demand” and “quantity demanded” was the only reason I didn’t get the grade I wanted.

If any of you have been keeping up with my posts, you’ll know that I’m also a transfer student who moved to Michigan from Singapore. Not surprisingly, the questions dealing with the structure of the U.S. economy in particular are the ones that get me, since I’ve grown up in a totally different environment, where the pressing issues on the government’s agenda differ GREATLY from the ones on Obama’s.

This may sound odd to some of you, but I actually find AP U.S. History to be even easier than Macroeconomics. Success in history class comes mainly from your ability to read, listen, take notes, and remember facts. Success in economics class, on the other hand, relies more heavily on the intuitional aspects, which I don’t have considering my personal background.

I don’t know if any of this makes sense to anyone, but I just wanted to put that out there. I’m considering dropping the course - it’s taking up more time than I want it to. Besides, I have 4 AP classes other than Econ (English Lang, Calc AB, U.S. History, Physics B), as well as an advanced level Spanish course (the one after AP Spanish Language). What do you guys think?

^I would drop it if it’s causing you too much stress. 4 APs is definitely enough:) Do what you can handle.

^ Thanks! I’ll talk to my teacher tomorrow about this, and then if she approves of it, hopefully I can get the person who handles all the scheduling to drop it. Dropping a class shouldn’t be a problem as long as the marking period isn’t over, right?

Right, I’ve done it before and it only took a day:) Best of luck!

They won’t let me drop a class anymore at my school. The deadline was October 12th.

senior year sucks. i still have work to do. i’m too smart to do all this *. i need to be in calculus again i misss calculus. i miss last year. i want my old classes back. when i get in early action, i’m gonna be like * it all

I need to rant somewhere:

–English Paper due Friday
–English Quiz and assigment on Friday
–English seminar tomorrow (a quasi-debate)
–Math homework and test tomorrow
–Spanish quiz tomorrow
–Spanish test Friday
–History test tomorrow
–Stats Quiz Friday
–Chemistry Test taken over next 2 days

<end rant=“”></end>

Man, this week is really tough. Junior year is horrible, last year was so much easier :frowning: Oh well, it will get much worse, I gotta go do homework…

^Wow, that’s insane!:frowning: I’m sorry:/

I’m ****ed. I had to run 3 miles in the 40 degree cold in only a skimpy short and jersey because it was Cross Country mandated. Then, two of our boys ran up into the woods with two other idiots and didn’t come back for an hour. Our whole team waited for them in the cold bus. I still have homework and PSAT studying to do.

I couldn’t feel my fingers and my nose is cold.

^Sorry:(

I just typed a 2000 word paper worth 0 points and a 1000 word paper worth 2 points, which I just found out! Great…
That’s 3000 words+ worth 2 points! Omg.

I have to finish editing this essay by tomorrow. It’s worth a major chunk of my grade, and will affect my teacher’s impression of me for the rest of the year. The pressure is making me procrastinate. It’s getting late, and I’m tired. I’ve slept late for the past week. This is the only homework assignment due tomorrow, and I know I can sleep once I finish it. Why can’t I finish it?

I AM ****ED. Yesterday my government teacher was like, “You have a quiz tomorrow.” I went home and studied everything we had done this year, because that @$$ hole didn’t even tell us what the quiz was on. Today, I got 3/15 on the quiz. Many other people got less than three. This is a regular class too.

That dumb **** said “Oh, quiz grades don’t matter, I am going to count this as a grade.” THE HELL! He’s such a ****ing ■■■■■■. I have a C in a regular class. A C in a REGULAR CLASS! I am so… god. Otherwise I have A’s. Why is it that I make my worse grades while I was in regular classes?

Oh wait, the teachers that can’t teach, teach regular?

Okay, I checked my grade. It’s not as bad as I thought, but it’s still bad. Let me rephrase this: I have a B in a REGULAR CLASS.

***. Why do I sound like a CCer?

^O no! You are turning into one of them! Aghh!
I’m just kidding haha, I freak out if I do poorly too.

I have two B-'s on my midterm grades this quarter. One is in AP Gov (one of the harder APs at my school) but the other is in /regular/ Precalculus w/ Trig. The teacher might be medically insane, but I need to suck it up and either ask for help or read the stupid textbook.

Oh, and I’m just now recovering from H1N1.

^Are you serious? I’m sorry, I hope you feel better:)
