The Official UNC Class of 2014 Anxiety Support/Treatment Thread

Tony, I never thought of that… so ideally, UNC might (if they had the capabilities) push the deadline up a bit and release early because of the weather? I realize that NC basically shuts down at the first hint of snow, but I thought that it might end up being the opposite, with the decisions released Monday.

I don’t see the jumbled code.
Oh well, everything with UNC has been an adventure ;)

Yeah, code is gone for me. Le sigh. I guess we’ll just wait till Sunday, then.

yea it’s gone for me too. actually, i don’t know if i even had it originally, because i just now!

^ lol. You didn’t miss anything, I promise.

Maybe some of you in state applicants can explain something to me about snow and NC. I lived in NC for about five years and whenever there was snow in the forecast, there would be these incredible runs on the grocery stores. Invariably all the milk and all the bread would be gone, which is understandable, but I never understood why the chickens would be gone. What explains a stockpiling of chicken? BTW, I am from Minnesota.

Hah. I have no idea on the chickens. We were never really a big meat eating family though. Whenever it snowed, my mom just used it as an excuse to go grocery shopping again… but she also has like, this strange compulsion to never let us run out of milk. We literally have no fewer than 3 gallons in the fridge at any given time. Boggles my mind, at times, but to each her own.

If there’s an inch of snow, it’s like a state emergency. Life, as people know it, ceases to exist. People stock up as though it’s the end of the world. People don’t have the equipment to even go through snow which leads to the paranoia.

If this makes UNC release decisions earlier, then let it snow lol.

smbsmom:

I have a theory. Us southerners, we loooove chicken. Fried, roasted, you name it. The grocery stores saw a great opportunity to capitalize on the terrible weather and marked down some chickens. At a high enough volume, they will make a profit.

Saying this makes me want Bojangles.

Bojangles: The official breakfast of the AP Exams :D

Oh my god, if anyone lives in Chapel Hill… eat some Mama Dip’s fried chicken for me! I’m dying up here!

Cluck-U on Franklin St has the best chicken, ever.

It’s delicious and greasy. I love it.

mmmm bojangles… thats one downside to Chapel Hill, I don’t know of any around the campus

No… are you serious? it’s Mama Dip’s all the way!

@thezee8:

I think Bojangles is not really a fit for Chapel Hill, haha. But it is worth the drive. You can order the seasoning online, by the way. That should have been my favorite fact for the application!!

Just noticed a blog post was deleted on the blog. Infinitesimal detail, but it is my time to obsess. Haha

I think we need some CC’ers to get a copy of the code posted to MyUNC and dissect it for us, a la the DaVinci Code.

I noticed that too lol. Maybe they were tired of all of the comments. I would be too, but at the same time, some of those comments were warranted.

I think chicken is more reasonable than bread, milk, and eggs… what are you gonna make, an egg sandwich with milk to drink? haha

How will you cook the chicken if the power is out (yes I am aware that sime places have gas stoves).
