With this email we acknowledge receipt of the admissions documents needed to review your application to Yale.

We assume that we will receive, or have already received, official copies of your standardized test scores either on your high school transcript or directly from the testing agency. If you asked that your scores be reported to Yale, you should assume that we will have them.

It is not necessary to call or write to us to check on the completeness of your file. We will contact you or your school if we need any further information. Thank you for your interest in Yale.

I never formally introduced myself, but now seems like a good time to do as such, especially since I'm avoiding doing other college applications.

Let's see--I like muffins, lobster, New York City, Hot Hot Heat, 1337-speak, making puns, Harry Potter, phrases like "swotty little nancy boy," cats, graphic design, dissecting things, the World Cup, Dexter's Laboratory, Gilmore Girls, Wes Anderson, Pokemon, pogs, matching socks, Asian dramas, Pocky, Sephora, chinese food, traveling, and the word "distraught" (I'm so distraught!). I also like to make pointless lists.

Random fact: the movie version of "The Wizard of Oz" always bothered me as a child; I don't know why.

I could be a boy and like Sephora, couldn't I? No? I think the whole all-girls boarding school thing makes my gender painfully obvious...

Also, "swotty little nancy boy" is from Harry Potter; looking back on my previous post, I have realized that it could be construed as being slightly feminazi-ish. No offense intended?

I like this game. State random but awesome things about ourselves. For instance:

I am Fringey323 because I have bangs and I always have and like VFrizz, I love British-type things. I like musicians, music, Juanes, writing short fiction, genetics, Koala's March cookies, James Bond movies, wearing boots, Dexter, crime novels, Catalonian culture and food, sushi/seafood, the rain, hot chocolate, Lorrie Moore stories, arguing, and love.

VFrizz--Definitely ditto on Pocky and asian dramas! What's your fav kinds? Mine are English Tea Pocky and MARS. Do you also happen to like bubble tea (is hoping for a trend)?

Fringey--Awesome list! ^_^ Like the history behind your sn. One's hair can say a lot about them.

As for your SAT II scores, I don't think it's the end of the world! I think the committee usually only looks at top two (a secretary writes them on the top of your file)...and even if they happened to see the "horrible score," I'm sure they'll give you the benefit of the doubt and take into account it wasn't your best sitting.

I'm SO happy standardized testing is ova! Until May...>_<

applelovespear-ahhh, Mars! It's definitely one of my favorites! My friend actually wants to marry Vic Zhou, haha. Have you ever seen Meteor Garden? I'm particularly partial to the Japanese version, Hana Yori Dango.

And I love coconut bubble tea, yum!

fringey-my username pertains to my hair too! Because it always used to be frizzy...what a coincidence, hehe.

spiffystars-yay! I love making new friends!

I've used way too many exclamation points in this post...

Hahah no such thing as too many exclamation points
