The Official Yale Class of 2012 (Hopeful) Thread

me tooizzle ^^^^^^^^^^^

good luck, tubbz!!

And i didn't actually buy two sweatshirts... one of the sweatshirts and the pants were a gift from a friend who goes there. I think I'll stilll wear the stuff til RD comes out if I don't get in, which is most likely what will happen (and I'm not being falsely modest even a bit).

p.s. can anyone say with confidence whether or not it is a bad sign that Yale did not ask for my first quarter grades? I know they aren't required but I heard that they usually ask if they're considering a student with a huge improvement (like me).

Since they haven't asked, does it mean they're not even considering me? Sorry, ultra-paranoid question but my friends would slap me if I asked them. Slash they don't know.

Cross-post to all early action applicants:

Hey guys, I called Yale during my free period at lunch today. I got their receptionist and I asked whether I could expect the results, as an Early Action applicant; she stated that it was neither the 14th or the 15th but mid-December. The receptionist also told me to look online (I'm assuming their website) in regards to when they will be online. Thus, I'm assuming that they don't want to pin-point a date in case it doesn't come out on that date or whatnot.

haha izzy a pencil?
fringey. stop worrying
dont worry
omg speaking of worrying!!! my hair is fallingout
gahhh

hahahah maybe it's the diet coke....?

oh, good. just found out that one of my teacher recs is missing. swell.

Haha, I manage to stay away for a few days, and I feel like I missed A LOT backreading...

Lol@various Yale paraphernalia--I didn't even get to visit the gift shop >w< But we visited a really nice Thai shop, and as a souvenir I shall always remember my first taste of Thai when I think of Yale xD

Fringey--Psh. Numbers are overrated. roots for you I'm scared too, but no use worrying about it now. Think about the Holidays instead...? :)

Jingle Bells...Batman smells...

actually, ive abstained for dietcoke for... a week?
yea.. trying to detox my system. lol
how many more days left?

robin laid an egg..

Holidays. ha.

if I don't get in, or at least deferred, my parents will have to buy me a wheelchair for xmas. or an oxygen tank.

I jest... ish?

Dietcoke, you are betraying yourself!!

hahaha I almost said that dietcokeeee. twinzles

Aw, I applaud you Diet Coke :3 That stuff is no good for you anyway.

haha, Fringey. Don't be a scrooge--And what if you get accepted? ^___~

then something is seriously up with the Yale Admissions committee :-)

I'm trying not to be a scrooge but my dean gives me a pitying smile whenever I mention Yale haha

...or maybe they have a sharp eye for talent, even if she thinks she is a diamond in the rough? ;)

Lol. When I first told my art teacher/my mentor about my 1st choice school, she shook her head at me and said "Oh no. You know how long it has been since the last time someone from this school got into there?!" Then she asked around the all the school counselors, and reaffirmed the above statement >_< Now everyone knows about my application and deeply pities me xD Yet, somehow sadistically, I find it pathetically amusing.

I like Yale!

Me too, Blaster! Haha... applelovespear, ilovesyou. I am most talented at procrastinating, hehe. It will be so sad when (IF) we don't all get in... so many nice and fun people :-/

That said, I have to write a thank you card to my interviewer. His little boy made me taste the guacamole he made.

Blaster--Hey!! :) What's not to like?

Speaking of procrastination, I should get cracking on my lovely Fiziks homework.

Guacamole? That's so cute! :3

Good think I like guacamole haha.

I should probably write my Hamlet paper. And do my Fizzies lab. And read my Spanish story. And do my Stats homework.

Yes, that would be good.

guacamole. nah i dont really like it.
im so happy. i got an A on my Hamlet paper!

Oh nice! I'm actually writing mine right now... Mortality's a b*tch.
