The Official Yale Class of 2012 (Hopeful) Thread

AP scores don't matter unless you're admitted

but I am not admitted yet,I just want to make sure did you guys have your AP scores show on the application status after you loged in.

i think the large majority of us didnt officially send in AP score reports since they don't require us to send those in. self-reporting is sufficient for APs unless you decide to matriculate.

angelutza is that your second confirmation email from Yale?

I just got my second confirmation today. No pin yet though GR. No interview either...

i got this today

Dear Applicant,

With this email we acknowledge receipt of the admissions documents needed to review your application to Yale.

We assume that we will receive, or have already received, official copies of your standardized test scores either on your high school transcript or directly from the testing agency. If you asked that your scores be reported to Yale, you should assume that we will have them.

It is not necessary to call or write to us to check on the completeness of your file. We will contact you or your school if we need any further information. Thank you for your interest in Yale.

The Yale Admissions Office

i have gotten TWO confirmation emails. and ONE snail-mail PIN thingy.

and NO interview.

Yes, I am officially waiting until the 15th now. I received three confirmation e-mails (two from Yale and one from the Common App), as well as my PIN and interview.

I am in the same boat as fringey323, two emails from Yale and the pin and no interview.

UUGGGHhhh Mentru, it is really annoying, isn't it? I just want to know that I've got an interview. That is all. Just one. This girl in my SpanLit class has had an on-campus AND alumni interview... grrr.

It sucks, but I am kind of curious to see if I will still get an interview, seeing that one of my teacher letters of recommendation was from an alumni. So I don't know if that is as reliable as interview or what.

Don't you just hate knowing that there is someone out there that has that extra edge over you! :) lol

Yes, yes I do, haha. Especially because I will freely admit that I definitely NEED an edge... the other girl doesn't so much. So even worse. I need an interview... I'm a people person!

Mentru, it is the first. I received a previous one asking me to send a payment form, or else they cannot download my common application. But that one was not a confirmation email.

yale is THE dream school. I hope I wont have to apply anywere else RD.
did anyone send in an additional recommendation ,too?
is anyone as excited as I am?? I mean just one month now.... it could change our lifes.

I am definitely as excited as you are!!! Nervous, but it IS Yale... I loves it very much.

ONE MONTH agghh I know better than to check this site before school now it'll be on my mind allll day

My friend (a genius) wrote "Why not?" for his Why Yale essay...i wonder if he gets in?

i was considering that actually! lol...good thing i didnt. he better hope he's the only one!! i found it difficult to sum up my L-O-V-E in 300 characters..and "Why Not" sounded like i didn't care.

anyway I CANT WAIIIIIIITTTTTT!!!!!!!! how will we make it through?

A question - I just found out that I've won a national competition, and I'd love for that info to get to Yale! I applied SCEA, so my application has already been turned in. How should I let them know?

You should find out who your regional admissions officer is, and send him/her an email letting him/her know. Be sure to include your Student ID in your email so they can open up your file quicker!

Congrats on your award! =)

Heh, thanks.

How do I go about doing that? I'm from NorCal. I've been googling, but can't seem to find it. >.<.
