The Ohio State University Main Campus chances?

I’m a junior in high school right now and my college of choice is OSU Main Campus. I struggled my sophomore year due to illness in th family, but I’m ready to work my butt off junior year. My cumulative at the end of junior year WILL be 3.3, the highest it could possibly be (UW). I’m applying early to OSU, by the way. So my grades look like this:

Hopefully they see my upward spiral during my junior year as I plan to get A’s throughout this year. With these stats could I make it into my dream school?

yes, you have a better than average chance of being accepted if you improve your ACT, your grades improve to your goal range, and if you tell a good story about what happened in your sophomore year and how much you improved after dealing with a family illness. (e.g. Average student, Mom had cancer (maybe you had to work to support the family), got serious, worked super hard and realized her potential… that is a very compelling tale)

Look at the common data set for OSU - they list standardized test scores as ‘very important’ so improving your ACT significantly should also be a big boost to you. 31 is already good for OSU, but higher is better. Concentrate any free time you might have on improving the factors under your control listed in the CDS in order of priority - OSU consders work and volunteer work ‘important’.

Best of luck to you this year!

Thank you so much @TooOld4School ! With these stats do I look good at getting in?
