Go to the link above and watch “dean dean baby” and “every breath you take”. Both of them are mock music videos. All of you applying to wharton would probably enjoy them (they actually snuck a jab at wharton in the former).
The dean of the columbia business school is the one singing… pretty cool guy I must say (compared to the delaware traitor)…

I assume you haven't seen the Wharton video? Go to google videos and search for Wharton, then look at the first one that pops up (also on Follies).

hahahah those are hilarious!!

And here I was thinking New York City was the compelling reason...

johnnyk...

New york city isnt much better, if at all better, than philly...

eh, that's not really true crouton. while i will admitt philly is a great city, and is more exciting than most, NYC is absolutely one of a kind....well...NYC and LA are probably two most "fun" cities.

LA sucks. it's a bunch of fiefdoms connected by interstates, most of which are jammed.

NYC kicks ass. However, Columbia's problem is that NYC kicks so much ass that it detracts from the college experience.

Philadelphia however is the perfect city for college. It's big enough to be interesting but not so big as to siphon life from the campus.

As for NYC vs LA, it's only a matter of time until terrorists nuke LA or NYC and bring us down to one easy choice!

First Impression:

Columbia University: Rawr. Lions!
UPenn: PennState(?)

you idiots have turned my thread into a travesty

I think this thread was already pretty awful. Love Columbia so much? Why don't you marry it!! Or at least get on the right forum, fool.

pwnd...

lol, and ud b an idiot neway to pick columbia over penn

wth? ok buddy have fun with that

Have fun with what?? You're the one who needs to hop forums. And I don't think I'm your buddy. Your post kind of had an undertone of " Pshh step off ***** "

But lol anyway relaxxxx, with a thread entitled "Why I would pick University X over Penn" -- a blasphemous statement in general, but on the Penn forum to boot-- you're just kind of asking for it. Nothing personal silly.

haha cc fights crack me up

It says the ONLY reason

lol ok, I'm not doubting you love Penn; I was just poking a bit of fun. Ill refrain in the future

Rawr Lions?
Columbia has the most pathetic athletics in the Ivy League.
Penn has the best-- The Palestra? Franklin Field? c'mon

Philadelphia is a much more personal and accessible city than NYC

and u get to throw bread at the cheerleaders! COME ON!

thats one aspect of Penn that kinda brings me down to earth about the school....its athletics, sure its better than the rest of the ivy league but thats not saying much. I can see myself at a football game at michigan with 100 thousand fans in 30 degree weather. That kind of experience is something which will definetely be lacking at Penn.
