<p>Of course it hurts. It shows you didn’t care enough about the school to put in the minuscule extra effort.</p>

<p>Then again, a friend of mine from HS didn’t write the supplement for Harvard and got in.</p>
<p>But she was a semi recruited athlete for Cross Country and all supremely brilliant, gorgeous, and widely loved.</p>
