Michigan-AA is my top school, but I got deferred, but i was wondering, if I were to attend either Flint or Dearborn, would I have an advantage over students from other schools for transferring to Ann Arbor? Or does it like not really matter where I transfer from?

Most people say that if you get at least a 3.5 at U of M Dearborn or Flint, you can almost automatically transfer to Ann Arbor after a year, or even after one semester. I know people who have been able to do that.

Normally I don’t post anything, but OP, call the admissions office with this question, as the above poster is not only wrong, but they are wildly irresponsible in their claim. UMich gives no preference to the school you are transferring from, they only look that you have ~3.5 and up and give heavy preference to students with 55+ credits at the time of transfer. If you try to transfer after one semester, also be aware that the only thing UMich will have to look at are your 1 semester of grades and your high school grades that got you rejected originally. I’m not trying to be mean here, but i don’t want you to spend more money than you have to going to a school you have no intention of graduating from on the false premise that it will make transferring easier.
