The Path to Landing an Internship/Career at Google?

Which majors are most likely to be recruited by Google?
Students from which schools are most likely to be looked at in a positive light by Google?
What is the ideal GPA?
Are they looking for particular work or other internship experience in certain fields?
How does one apply for the internship, stand out, and how to show them your best yet showcase what they need/want?

I'm currently a mathematics major. Should I minor in computer science?

And any other advice pertaining to internships/work at Google will be greatly appreciated.

Most major recruited is probably computer science/ computer engineering just by nature… but I’ve heard there are other majors too such as mathematics or physics. They’re just really into majors that builds good problem solvers.

Seems like to stand out you should really be the type of student that are doing more than just getting good grades in your class. Like having some crazy awesome personal projects or projects you worked on that wasn’t for a school reason. I don’t think they are particular looking for any cookier cutter intern that has other internship experience from other companies. They just want bright people that have a passion for the field of computing.

So to stand out I would say you need to show them all the EXTRA stuff you’ve been doing that’s related to computer science, on top of having amazing GPA. Maybe personal projects, undergraduate research, volunteer projects, etc…
