The people at Smith

I am a senior looking to apply to SMith. I wanna know how the student body is. A little info on myself: I’m from NYC, black, Muslim. SMithies generally speaking tend to have a political bias, but I don’t affliate with any political party. I just choose to side with what I feel as a Muslim is rite. WIll that be a problemat SMith?

Smith has a Muslim Students Association. Perhaps you could connect with them to get a better understanding of the student body? Smithies are outspoken politically for sure but I don’t think you have to affiliate one way or another - but you will certainly be exposed to others political viewpoints.

Just don’t wear a MAGA hat and you should be fine–unless sensitive to liberal points of view.

Not reasonable to expect open-mindedness. Smith has a very liberal campus culture.

Smith College overlap schools are also quite liberal:

Barnard, Brown, Bryn Mawr, Mount Holyoke, Oberlin, Scripps, & Wellesley.
