The question: Full ride at UF or half at Vandy?

I saw someone else post a similar thread about UMD and Duke, and I need the same advice, so can y'all help me pretty please?

My choice is full ride at University of Florida or 75% tuition at Vandy, which works out to cost me, per year, about:
UF: $0
Vandy: $20,000

Well, the thing is is that my parents have told me that they would probably be able to pay the $20,000 without taking out any loans or anything that I would have to pay back, but, if I went to UF, they have told me that they would put that money in an account to help me pay for Med School when I get out of undergrad. So, you see my quagmire.

Any advice/thoughts/comments/whatever is greatly appreciated.

PS - if it matters, I'm interested in majoring in Bio and perhaps Statistics or Spanish

Go to UF.... but you know my reasons... :-/

Plus, you don't have $80,000 debt over your head... that really sucks... maybe you could get a Mercedes S500 for your first car with $80K. :D

Hey, slip, how are you?

I am usually all for going for your dream school but in this case you have a great choice in UF. It is much harder to get aid/scholarships for med school so it is better to save the money for that. UF is a very good school and if you work hard, you should be able to go to a great med school from there.

PS: When you make up your mind, let all of us on the W&L board know, we miss you.
