hi, I’m an upcoming senior and I’m forced to choose between two schedules because there’s a conflict in what i originally wanted to take…

AP Physics / AP Biology / English 12 regular / AP Statistics /

AP Physics / AP Enviornmental Sci. / AP Literature / Multi-variables /

I’m planning to go on to be a biology or an engineering major in college and I thought I needed AP Biology under my wing in high school.

I realize #1 is better for my major and I love biology but #2 seems to be the higher-level schedule. Also I’ll be missing out on AP English that I have taken in my junior year in schedule #1.

HELP!!

definitely schedule 2

If it were me, I'd go with
Schedule #1
-There aren't that many math classes to take as an engineer major after calculus. you can take multivar calc in college.
-After taking AP Stats, college level intro to stats will be easy, no sweat.
-AP Environmental Science isn't as useful as AP Biology

Both schedule seems rigorous enough, admissions mostly look at your 10th-11th grade schedules first anyway.

Just make sure you don't slack off due to senioritis like all of us do.

i think you should take a variety of challenging courses in high school, and worry about taking classes for majors in college

as you probably know, people change their majors all the time. so get a good foundation in english, and dont worry about getting a head start in a subject you might not even major in anyway

Multi-var calculus is offered at your HS?

we have Differential Equations as well as Multivariable -- which I'm taking next year!!

Love ya math
