The SAT is a joke

My scores (because for some reason everyone wanted to know them):
Critical Reading - 690 (my problem: VOCAB)
Math - 790 (my problem: unknown stupid mistake)
Writing - 750 (my problem: 8 on the essay)

First of all, I must repeat my hate for this test. Personally, I feel somewhat satisfied with my scores, although being out of that 1500 club by 10 points (because I got an 800 earlier) hurts. What also hurts is that the writing section which I improved 80 points on doesn't matter much for colleges. The improvement can probably be attributed to finding a better way to work around my ADHD.

I'm done arguing. I really am; we all have different opinions. Most people here did well enough on the SAT so they tend to like it, others including me dislike it. Neither side will be convinced of the opposite side, so I'll just drop the argument to save my own time.

I understand that I really only have myself to blame in this sort of skills and knowledge based test because in the last 4 years I only completed 2 books, and didn't even thoroughly read those. I also opted out of all challenging English and Social Studies courses, with the exception of AP Economics. My attitude towards English has always been a "if you can communicate your thoughts, you know it well enough" one, and in a test of 2/3's English, it really is no wonder I did not get a great score.

Peace, I may or may not come back, but I hope not to leave any hard feelings.

See now, I respect these posts. I have no problem with people disliking the SAT - I just don't think it's valid to take that dislike and try to parlay it into broader criticisms of the SAT, while pretending that those criticisms are based on anything other than personal dislike.
