the science of book sell-backs

What is the best place to sell back books? Does the "Cash for Books" truck that parks on West End next to Towers give good prices for books, or is it as much of a rip-off as the book store? How does Vandy Swap work, and is it worth the extra hassle instead of just going to the book store?
thanks.

the secret lies in buying books online and selling them at the bookstore (or online). I bought all my books this year (except for one) online. It is a bit hard at first since one doesn't know the ISBN (the darn bookstore won't give it to you) and thus can't be certain what edition will be used.

so, is online cheaper or vandy bookstore cheaper?

what about the prices of other stuff in vandy store? cheaper or more expensive than some outside supermarket?

Everything in the Vanderbilt Bookstore is always more expensive than at Office Depot, Eckerd/CVS, or Borders. They pretty much have the monopoly on Vanderbilt logo clothing, however, as there isn't much of a market for Vandy clothing in nashville.

online is cheaper if you can find the book. some books that are used such as the laboratory and econ classes (buckle's econ) use books that can only be found in the vandy bookstore since these are usually published by vanderbilt professors.

will that be really late if we buy books online after we get to vandy in august?
