The Scores Are Out!

Collegeboard wants a personal experience essay? That makes it so much easier!

Well they also accept literary/historical examples, but they seemed to like it when I wrote about personal experiences better... :P

personal examples should be very elaborate and SHOULD connect to the prompt otherwise it could just end us as off-topic.

It's better to use literary/historical examples in the essay because they're factual, whereas with personal experiences, they could be all made up. The people reading the essays are english and history teachers, so using references they can identify with is a plus.

Looking good everyone.

I got:

800 CR
650 Math
700 Wr
7 Essay

Down on WR and Essay, up on CR and Math!

CR-690
M-550
W-510 ouch Essay 9

I guess these are pretty mediocre. Not too bad considering I had 4 hours of sleep and no prep. Obiviously I am taking again.

double post

CR - 620
M - 780
W - 590 (8 Essay)

Retake...

i dont get something..
for the writing section people post.. i.e. 68MC/12 essay
according to the Barrons SAT writing only has 49 MC questions... -.-

The multiple choice score range is from 20-80 which is obtained from your raw score.

so a 75/80 could be a 45/49 ( on a generous curve, of course)?

ooh ok ..scractes head.. Barrons explains so badly

so basically the score is what u would get without the essay.
so if u got 79/80 u would get a 790 without ur essay.
(just gives an overview of what ur essay did)

lol i dunno.. i beg to differ mainly because i've written literary/historical examples for every "personal response" (ie non-critical analysis) paper i've ever written in high school, but sat graders seem to be.. different.. from my teachers at school.

a bit late...but

800-writing
760-math
690-CR

my timer's alarm screwed me over, but w.e.

Very much late

i am taking in oct so i got a lot of time and 2070 is with 3 weeks prep with blue book

You be fine =)

CR: 800
M: 800
W: 730 (69MC/11)
Total: 2330 (up from 2100)

Oh well, I am not retaking any more! W00t that for schools that don't count writing I get 1600 =D

CR 600 (went down 50 points) =(
