<p>hey all! I'm singaporean too =) but i'm in the US now. I used to go to RI...came here when I was in Sec3 (less than two years ago)..yea i'm only 16 =/</p>
<p>Last couple days have been pretty traumatizing..but i got in Cornell, UT Austin, Embry Riddle Aero U, waitlisted by Duke MIT uChicago..Rice priority waitlisting...still waiting for Stanford/U Michigan Ann Arbor..</p>

<p>u might wanna kinda make sure tt ur acadamics remain consistent throughout yr1 n 2..... dun leave it to last min to cram for the 4As as i did... doe snot really help :o</p>
<p>watelse....hmm ya thse us uni love thier Ecs and hooks baby.... do ur stuff with real interest and make sure u enjoy... to be prac... if u get inlternational olympiad etc, it will be grt... i guess one or two international olympiads shud be enuf for HYPMS :D</p>
<p>haha, that's why I'm working like mad for my CCA and my grade:)..But it's seem quite tough to be able to manage both during this time period..I always seem to find myself short of time. How did you cope with your JC life?..haha, I'm not allowed to take part in international olympiad coz im not a Singaporean but I'll prob take part in SMO and the chem olympiad.</p>

<p>That's the sad part..Im from Vietnam and came to Singapore on the ASEAN scholarship in sec3.. They forced us to do start from sec3 although in Vietnam, I only have 2 years left before going to uni..Didnt noe why I accepted the scholarship also:)..But here i'm, juz starting J1 when I'm already 18(</p>

From what I can gather from the US decisions, SAT matters but they put more weight on the school/mid term reports because the latter reflects your ability in your given environment... whether you have high class ranks etc. Here's to wishing you good luck waaay ahead of time! LOL</p>

<p>ya sats matter but i feel the emphasis here on sat is too much...seriously, if u can hit 1500 n 2200 in sat 1 n 2 respectively, dun bother retakin..forcus on academics an CCA...
trust me i COMPLETELY wasted my jc life, i screwed prelim n all... was juz enjoyin it and u have no idea how much i regret so u goies gonna apply this or next yr, BTTR get serious and start utilising ur time... i have been naggin my bro who is in j1 rj and he is sick of my lectures now...:p</p>
