The Social Network (movie)

Have you seen it? Ever since I saw the scene of Mark running to his dorm after the intro, I knew it was going to be my favorite movie. It made me consider entrepreneurship as a possible alternative to becoming a mathematician/scientist.

The soundtrack is especially suitable for when you're doing homework.

No, I haven’t seen it, but I have walked on the same grounds that the movie was shot on. It was quite exciting indeed.

Watched it a while back. It’s a solid movie, to say the least.

That movie is the best!

You want to be a entrepreneur because of that movie? I would think that the filmmakers wanted the opposite effect, or at least not like Mark Zuckerberg… I guess it’s our generation’s Wall Street.

Awesome movie though. “You better lawyer up, a**hole, because I’m not coming back for 30%, I’m coming back for everything.” Classic.

@CORVIDS: I identified more with Mark’s struggle to impress others than his jerky attitude. The dialogue IS awesome though, especially the “condescending question” scene.

that’s one of the very few movies that I like that was made in the 21st century

The Social Network is my favorite film of all time. And David Fincher is my favorite director.

Amazing movie!

Since when are they mutually exclusive? Nearly every entrepreneur is by definition an inventor/scientist.

quality movie

@Wiscongene: I guess I meant the role of stereotypical researcher wearing a labcoat (yes, I know not all scientists are like this).

It’s my favorite movie. I love everything about it. Fincher is brilliant. Progressivism, you’re right that the soundtrack is great for doing homework! I frequently listen to it while doing math; it motivates me.

It’s just another example of Aaron Sorkin’s fantastic knack for writing and Fincher’s talent for directing. A movie that represents our generation well.
