According to the UCLA schedule of classes website, '"The Staff" indicates an instructor was not assigned as of publication.' Will the website ever update and say who the instructor is? I was looking at the classes for Math31A, and 2 of the 5 lectures listed have "THE STAFF" for the instructor. :(

it will probably be updated later on...

often means a lecturer or even a grad student ...

It will be updated when they figure out who will be teaching the class. Doesn't mean its a grad student or whatever else - just that the department has no clue who will be teaching it.

will we know before session 101?

No, probably won't know until at the EARLIEST August but more likely September.

er so how do we know if we should pick staff? what if its going to be a really good or really bad teacher? or should we not risk it and just go with a known teacher who is teaching the coursE?

I've had good "The Staff"s and bad. It's really a toss up. If you're into risks, then do it, but personally I'd pick a professor whose rating is on bruinwalk and who I can tell will be good or bad.

You sign up for the class... so if you want a certain professor, you sign up under that specific professor's class...

sorry, but can anyone link me to the UCLA schedule of classes website? I don't know where it is...
