The Superstitious Thread

I am normally not a superstitious person. However- I always wear the same headband for rugby matches and I practice the G sharp minor scales before any competition.

I have decided to create the superstitious thread- just for those of us who happen to feel superstitious enough to admit it. I had a very bad omen today ... I found out the reason for my delay in SAT scores. They mailed all 6 result forms etc etc ... and it has gone missing. It was registered, express blah blah- but it went missing. Me being myself and bored- I am very worried.

My gut feeling tells me its definately a thin little reject letter comming my way.

Anyone's get this feeling as if judgement day is comming?

I know I am gonna get a thin letter from Princeton......

the confirmation that they got my application and another one saying its complete (prob another one for interview too)

as for the letter that I am gonna get in mid-December, I have a feeling that it's gonna be a thick one!

Even though my chances are like 5% or so, I still would like to think that in less than 40 days I will recieve an acceptance letter from Princeton.

Afterall, it's these little things that help us get through life....just some hope...

I'm a little weird. I decided to wear the same Puma shoes until I get a decision letter in December. And also to say "rabbit" every time I get in the car and drive.

Go looking for squirrels.....if they cross your path, good things will happen.

And if a fat black cat crosses your path, you are in trouble.

Good Luck to all of you

quirky thread -

I do not finish on 3 or 4, but always on 5 or 7 when I am climbing or descending stairs and counting the number of steps I take. double-step a step if necessary to reach required number of steps.

oic, i guess a superstition of mine is i never say out loud or let others say "you will get in", i feel like some superior spirit might be listening and will turn the winds against me

I'd say there's a fine line between "OCD" and "superstitious" in some of these anecdotes, but I suppose that's another story.
