The Test Score Woes...

What can I say? I'm bad at standardized testing. I studied my butt for both the SAT and the ACT and they're still just... mediocre. I'm confident in pretty much everything but these scores. I want to apply to the School of Foreign Service. Which seems rather impossible right now with these scores. As an Asian from Nevada, should I still try to apply?

I also spent a month in China over the summer as a teaching assistant to public speaking in an English learning school.

So... Should I still go for it?

If it’s the school you want to be at, you owe it to yourself to apply. Just realize that it’s a reach and adjust your expectations accordingly.

Yeah, you have a chance. Solid rank, plus a bunch of AP’s and EC’s.

The School of Foreign Service for Georgetown is actually really competitive. To be really frank and honest, I would say apply to the regular Georgetown College and change from there instead. Also, what about your SAT IIs? Georgetown wants 2-3 Subject tests… Good luck!
