i had a chicago interview too. it was pretty good, but not as good as some of my other ones. my interviewers came in pajamas becuase their apartment just had a fire like the day before lol. that was actually beneficial in calming me a bit.
Hey guys! Iâm a junior right now so whenâs a good time to start going in for interviews? I was thinking maybe to go in for an interview at Georgetown, Lehigh, and Holy Cross. Also, any tips for interviewing?
I had my Tufts Interview today, and it was very comfortable and casual. My interviewer was really nice and even offered to give me a ride back to the bus terminal.
I just wanted some confirmation on this piece of information:
Do the interviewers have a copy of your application? And if you guys could start posting common interview questions that would be great.
Well first of all be prepared to talk about yourself, what you like to do, what your extracurricular activities are, and what your school is like. And also, be prepared to answer the most common question, âWhy (insert college here)?â
when should you go in for an interview?bummpp^^^
soak sun-
you go in after the schools admssions interview people tell you too, most of the time its after you submitt your app, but then sometimes it could before. generally its like fall/winter of your senior year
A lot of people also go when they are touring during the summer of their junior year.
Hi Iâm sorry for asking this question cus itâs probably been asked before but I have no time to search as I am an idiotic procrastinator.
I havenât submitted my common application to any univs yet but Iâm going to today and I would like to ask for an interview, but is it too late now to book one? I heard somewhere that it IS too late but I just wanted to make sure. I would really like some interviews cus I want to talk be able to talk to the alumnis personally. I live in Canada btw if geography matters⊠Thanks !
Iâve never done an interview before, and my first will be with a Harvard interviewer shudders slightly. This request might be a far shot, but are there any samples of interview dialogues on the web that you know of? I think that perhaps getting a feel for a âgoodâ response would be quite helpful.
Iâve just interviewed with Swarthmore and it went great. Although there were some silent moments, my interviewer really helped keep the conversation going. We basically talk for an hour and a half about politics, traveling and the college. He was really open minded and made me like Swarthmore even more.
One thing I would suggest for everyone is to formulate a few questions to ask when those ackward silent moment occurs.
good question stanfordkid2008⊠id like to get more info tooâŠ
if you guys search for college interview questions on like google or something-there are a few sites that help.
also, question-
idk if this has been asked, but are Cornellâs interviews selective? I know that you have to interview for some schools within Cornell like the Hotel school, but for the ones that interviews arenât required- do you get an interview because an alumni is in your area or due to some kind of other selectivity?
thanks.
My son who is a junior is starting college visits in two weeks. He has a visit and an interview at Allegheny College in PA. Since he is a junior and has not submitted an application, I assume this will be mostly informational. Should he bring his transcripts?
If⊠(it is a big if) i get an interview for TuftsâŠ
should I make the interviewer a duct tape wallet? Because, I wrote an essay about how I like to make them for people.
Or would that just be considered, like, total bribery and despicable? Thoughts anyone?
If you wrote about this habit in a way that a reader surely notices it, it sounds like a cool idea. Itâs definitely not âbriberyâ⊠I guess you need to time it well tho, maybe at the end, otherwise it may get weird.
kobe, as far as I know the Tufts interviewers donât see your essays, so they might not really get it. I wouldnât do it.
can someone answer my question??
i just submitted all my apps on jan.1 . is it too late to ask for an interview now ??
Is a short interview (30 minutes) a bad sign? Iâve read how some people have long interviews.
Raffles, I donât believe so. If the interviewer feels like heâs gotten to know you enough, and already established his opinion about you ( and he just wants to go home alreadyâŠ), 30 minutes is not a bad sign. Also, my interview was just about 30 mins and I was accepted to that schoolâŠ
