<p>I have a question for everyone.</p>

<p>I know it all depends on the school. In my case, for instance, it is W&L. I want to know how much wait a recommendation from a Board Member will have, especially as I am applying Early Decision 2. </p>

<p>I know him personally, and also know that he is personal friends with the Dean of Admissions. Will this help me at all to have him speak on my behalf? </p>

<p>Logic says yes. Many people got to where they are today because of special favors. Is it fair? Not really. But hey, neither is life.</p>

<p>Can it help push an applicant that is in the Middle 50% and already doing ED over the edge? Along with a phenomenal essay and good EC’s?</p>
