I'll probably be going to UCI if I don't get my appeal for either UCD or UCSD. Actually, maybe not. I'm going to drive up to Davis and camp in the admissions office, haha (or something drastic like that :P).

if u dont mind me asking wat u write about in ur appeal

i wrote about like how it was my dream, how it socially fits me, and how
i cant really afford to go anywhere else due to siblings attending ucs but i can davis because i can live with my brother who attends davis and can help me save money...some ish like that

Some "ish"? You sound like you are from my school, haha. I've never heard the use of "ish" outside of my school before.

I can send you my appeal/letter of rec if you would like to read it and evaluate it so I can see how others think. If you don't feel like reading, here's a boiled down list of what I wrote about.

I wrote about:
-3 clubs, 3 planned ap tests and a comment about a probable missing current SAT score
-my realization of the importance of dreams after my cousin's were shattered by his accident
-how UCD's social environment can help my career
-how I looked up to the many family member alumni
-my interest in electrical engineering

I also have a pretty good letter of rec (imo).

Anyway, I know I made a Davis appeal forum, but I have just got rejected from UCSD again! I tried to gain more points but it seemed like the first step of an appeal is having a very small distance from the cutoff. "I regret to inform you that we cannot approve your appeal because your score is 7214 (It was out of 7421 this year)."

Oh well, screw UCSD ^^ (although I want to go there for grad school since they are well funded in research). I want UCD 100x more.

UCSD works on a three week timeline, so people generally get there responses three weeks from sending it in. My friend got his appeal reply in under three weeks.

I sent two copies because USPS seemed to have lost my first letter. I'm not really sure about that. The first copy should've reached UCSD by April 8. The second copy arrived at UCSD by April 12. I received a letter on April 22.

If you are annoyed by my posts, just stop reading this thread =].

I got some new insight today to make me feel better. So far, I haven't heard many people being rejected by a UCD appeal in the past (I searched forums and asked around). In addition, my friend reported that her friend's school had a decent amount of UCD appealers get in last year. Two more days!

mrbobbaloo2k: Thanks man! I really appreciate the support. Any spiritual support should boost my chances <3. Again, thanks a lot.

Day THREE! (two days left)
