Everyone at U of M is nice and helpful. The weather, is horrible though.

Those are the only options we have as transfers, or at least that's what they told me. Hopefully there will be not too many freshmen taking my rooms in the normal dorms

if you transfer to the RC you have to live in east quad. i live there now and think that it is the best in terms of location and veg. food...but there are a few weird kids. oxford is far, but some of the rooms are suites with kitchens and bathrooms...it sucks having to go accross campus to eat dinner though. Baits is not north campus, and unless you are an engineer or in the school of design or the school of music, you have to take a 15 minute bus ride to get to all of your classes and anywhere dowtown, but you have your own bathroom. Northwood is on north too, but they are really nice apartments. Honestly, I would really try to live on central. If you live on North and you go to Central on the weekends or something, the last bus is at 2 am, so if you miss it you either have to walk back, sleep with a friend, or take a cab. North does have some really nice facilities and things, but its sooo far from everything fun!!

As for the B school, its really really competitive. I do know a sophomore transfer student who is applying, so it can be done, but you probably wont be graduating on time. Can I ask why you are applying to the B school??

Hey...I got in for fall 2007...looking to meet others who got in and/or currently attend ...AIM/e-mail dvd2273@aol.com

The RC is the Residential College...its just a little subgroup of LSA. It has a really intensive language program that is amazing (if you are learning French, Spanish, Latin, Russian, Japanese, or German). If you are not taking those languages then do not be in the RC. I am takign Chinese, so I am really seculded from the RC, which is supposed to be a learnign community. You dont have to do anything special to apply to the RC, I think you just have to check a box, but if you are interested in becoming proficient in one of those languages, then I would try to transfer into the RC. I dont think it would be that hard even if you are already accepted.
