We used Common App. But when asked what type of admission, we chose “Fast Track”. Was that an option for you?
My D with similar sats just got deferred as well. I’m a bit shocked.
Honestly have no idea. November 1 was a blur with all the applications!
My daughters stats are lower so I’m bracing myself. At this point I hope for a deferral and not rejection.
My son with similar stats just deferred too. I’m sad about it but he’s got great offers in other locations - so we’ll move forward from here!
Does anyone know when Regular Decisions are released?
Deferrals said a decision by March 31st.
Let us know, good luck!

Son was admitted. 3.8 UW, 4.12 W. Sports were main EC. Business major. His letter is still being “processed” in the portal so no word on merit yet.
Really surprised on these deferrals. Maybe yield protection for high stat kids?
sounds like yield protection and them not wanting to give these top kids the top scholarship, the university profits more off of students with lower gpa. It’s getting me nervous since it was one of my top choices due to availability of scholarships, but with above average stats, i might not have a chance now.
Perhaps, this my first child going through the process, so I’m not very familiar. Maybe she didn’t show enough interest.
D22 deferred as well. Were your kids undeclared for major? She thinks for some reason that has something to do with it.
No, I believe she applied for business had 4.2 GPA, all Honors since MS and 6-7 AP, National French Society, 6 years of Volleyball…etc…
We visited the school in July.
Who is still waiting? @meowfour @Miki1 ? I’m wondering if it’s a regional thing? We are in Massachusetts. Applying as biochemistry. Trying to read the tea leaves here!
We are in MA and we heard this morning.
Ha! Thanks. Should’ve seen your handle. Ok so that’s not it then. I wondered if a regional admissions officer was lagging. I don’t even know if it works like that. Ugh - the stress.
i’m still waiting. fast track applicant for political science from chicago
Nope - portal still says Awaiting Decision…ugh!! Very stressful.
Still waiting, I’m in Virginia applying pre-med bio. I got confirmation that we will 100% hear today for fast track.
