Those NRC "rankings" are, in many cases, 15 years old, and in no case less than 10 years old. They have been utterly eclipsed by the USNews raking of graduate schools to the point where the sponsoring organization may never issue them again.

Can anyone provide a link to the National Research Council ranking? I didnt find them.

kinglin, I was referring to the user named King, not you-- he or she did make a very inflammatory remark, but I don't think you did!

Actually the NRC Report rankings are 10 years old, as they were last published in '95. We're due for another edition this year. The report comes out every 10 years unlike these prolific commercial polls like USN&WR & the Gourman Report. The NRC ranked the top universities in 41 fields of study. The NRC polls were compiled from the actual ranking data of the NRC. Ie. Cal-Berkeley had the greatest number of highly ranked programs among all schools, thus it received the top NRC ranking.

The data was compiled by some Texas A&M person. Scroll up & down to learn more of the results of the NRC Report.
