I am a rising junior...I am mid 700s with math and writing. This summer I knew i needed to improve my critical reading from low 600s to above 700. I did practically every book i can find, Silverturtle, Kaplan, Barrons, Princeton Review and probably another one. I did and knew all the tips and theory (even though it is very limited in helpfullness). I am at a 660-690 level right now...but I have no more theory to learn. Is the only thing I can do to help is blue book tests?

I would relax instead and a week before your test go over a few. I find that my critical reading depends on the passages they use like African American stories about slavery are by far the worst for me

same for me…but I really want to score well… I’m not sure doing tests in 4 months for a week would help much

Well what I am saying is that you have studied hard but ease up a little bit and review a few passages before the test

So your trying to say is that doing intensive passage work wont help much?

To a certain point like I read and worked out all of the problems out of the official sat book. You have read through every book out there for the sat now you need to come into the test confident not stressed out which may occur due to the extensive studying.

There’s really not much I can say without knowing the specifics of your problem areas and your wrong answer choices. At this point you should be reviewing your work to look for patterns in the kinds of problems you miss and in the reasons why you miss them.
